Lil Baby’s Artist Dirty Tay Charged In Shooting Of 3-Year-Old: Report

While he’s off somewhere minding his business, Lil Baby has found his name entangled in controversy. As he seemingly spends time with Pierre Thomas amid the Quality Control Music executive’s tension with Offset, one of Baby’s artists has had a run-in with the law. Dirty Tay is reportedly signed to Baby’s 4PF label and is an artist looking for his moment in the spotlight, but Tay didn’t expect for it to arrive with reports of an arrest.

A news report surfaced online showing Dirty Tay, real name Kentavious Wright, being taken into custody in connection to a shooting that left a three-year-old wounded.

Fox 5 Atlanta reported that Dajuan Jewell left a barbershop with his children when he noticed a “car driving erratically” and possibly trailing him. When he stopped at a traffic light, the car reportedly pulled up beside him and opened fire, striking three-year-old Javon Jewell in the head. Another child was allegedly in the vehicle as well but did not sustain any injuries.

Javon was rushed to a local hospital and the bullet was reportedly removed from his head. The toddler was said to have survived the assault, but his current health status remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the rapper took to his Instagram Story to deny the allegations against him. Dirty Tay has been charged with “aggravated assault, attempted murder, cruelty to children and gang-related charges.”

Rapper Who Is Allegedly Voice Of FN Meka Speaks: “N*ggas Just Ghosted Me”

There are several debates going on in Hip Hop at the moment, and Artificial Intelligence rappers have been a hot topic. It was recently announced that the viral AI rapper FN Meka signed a deal with Capitol Records, but just as quickly as those celebrations began did the contract end. FN Meka amassed 10 million followers and even went viral on TikTok, but after inking the record deal, the backlash was unending. Capitol was accused of using a computer-generated rapper to appropriate Black culture and Meka was alleged to have mocked police brutality as complaints about the rapper being created by non-Black people began to circulate.

The controversy caused Capitol to return with a statement where they apologized and announced that they decided to sever ties with the AI rapper.

Following the controversy, Kyle The Hooligan, the real person allegedly behind the voice of FN Meka, surfaced to explain his side of the story.

“They came to me with this A.I. sh*t and was like would I want to be the voice of it and I thought it was going to be some collaboration,” he said. According to Kyle, he was offered “equity in the company, percentages, all this stuff,” and he was excited about the possibilities.

“Next thing I know, n*ggas just ghosted me. Use my voice, use my sound, use the culture, and literally just left me high and dry,” he added. “I ain’t get a dime off of nothing, and they got record deals, all this stuff. I wasn’t involved in no meetings or none of that, which is f*cked up. So, I’m glad they ass got canceled, ‘cause that’s karma for they ass, ‘cause God don’t play with me. I’m gonna tell you that right now.”

Additionally, it was reported that the creators of FN Meka defended themselves during a DM conversation where they allegedly blamed “racist reporters,” people chasing “clout,” and “false narratives” for the controversy.

Vanessa Bryant Awarded $16 Million In Case Against L.A. County Officials: Report

Just one day after sports fans celebrated Kobe Bryant’s birthday, a decision has been made in the case centering around the late icon’s death scene photos. Vanessa Bryant was outraged to learn that members of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, as well as members of the Fire Departments, reportedly shared and showed strangers photos of the tragic helicopter aftermath that left nine people dead, including the Bryants’ daughter, Gianna.

Vanessa and co-plaintiff Christopher Chester, whose wife and daughter also perished in the crash, took Los Angeles County to court and were victorious.

According to several reports, Vanessa Bryant was awarded $16 million while Chester received $15 million. Authorities were found “liable for infringing on the constitutional rights” of the pair.

“While we disagree with the jury’s findings as to the County’s liability, we believe the monetary award shows that jurors didn’t believe the evidence supported the Plaintiffs’ request of $75 million for emotional distress,” said County attorney Mira Hashmall, who lead outside counsel for L.A. County. “We will be discussing next steps with our client. Meanwhile, we hope the Bryant and Chester families continue to heal from their tragic loss.”

On Instagram, Vanessa posted a photo where she celebrated “justice” for Kobe and Gianna. Check it out below.
