Releasing This Week: “Flax” Yeezy Slides, JJJJound Kayano 14s, Bad Bunny Forums, And More

Last week, we only saw a few noteworthy releases, like Salehe Bembury’s Crocs Pollex Clog and the Air Jordan 13 “French Blue.” These next few days, however, are much more exciting by comparison, as the entire industry is coming out the woodwork with their very best sneakers.

You can expect everything from attractive inline styles to much-anticipated collaborations. Nike, for starters, is teaming up with sacai for the Cortez 4.0, which headlines a calendar that includes Dunks, OG Huaraches, and even a beloved Air Max Penny colorway. Elsewhere in the umbrella, Jordan Brand is dropping a few standouts of their own: the Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris,” the Air Jordan 12 “Stealth,” the Bephie’s Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 7, and much more.

The most exciting offerings come from the camps of both New Balance and ASICS. The latter is joining forces with JJJJound for the very first time, and the latter is dealing out more MADE in USA classics. PUMA, adidas, and Yeezy, too, are worth a mention, as they’re bringing out LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.01 “Iridescent Dreams,” Bad Bunny’s adidas Forum Buckle Low “Blue Tint,” and “Flax” Yeezy Slides, respectively.

For a details on all of the best releases mentioned above and much more, keep scrolling.

The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” Expected To Return Spring 2023

After the return of the Yeezy Boost 350 “Turtle Dove” on the highly controversial YEEZY DAY earlier in August, it’s only a matter of time before the remaining three original colorways return. Next up: the Pirate Black Yeezys.

Currently expected to release sometime in Spring 2023, the Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” is set to make its first official return since February 2016 (the last restock). The Pirate Black Yeezys originally dropped in August of 2015 and are considered among the greatest Yeezy shoes ever, kickstarting the all-black Yeezy craze that still persists today.

Based on these first images, the Yeezy 350 “Pirate Black” looks consistent with the original, but comes packaged in the updated shoe-box that contains the exterior markings. The original shoebox featured no such branding and came in a discreet brown shoebox.

Again, a firm release date is not known, but you can expect these in Spring 2023 — possibly during Chicago All-Star Weekend — at the new MSRP of $230.

In other Yeezy news, the Yeezy Slide “Flax” releases tomorrow.

The Weeknd, Travis Scott, & Tyga All Spotted In Lobby Of Las Vegas Hotel

Las Vegas always draws celebrities, whether it be for residencies at big casinos, marriages that can be kept secret, or some simple fun. This weekend was no different, as the Encore was crawling with massive names in the music industry.

As TMZ reports, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Tyga were all spotted at the hotel on Saturday. Scott showed up first at around 4 PM. Apparently, the “Highest in the Room” rapper was totally alone, without even security trailing him. Tyga then arrived with bodyguards, and quickly made his way to the valet. He caused more of a stir than Travis, as several women tried to attract his attention before he left the lobby and drove away.

The Weeknd was the final appearance in the bustling hotel lobby. He entered from the elevator, and chatted up a group of guys after giving them hugs. After the conversing, the “Call Out My Name” singer left with Simi Khadra, a model and influencer who he’s been seen with off and on for a few months.

The Weeknd was in town for his After Hours Til Dawn Tour, and Travis was spotted in the crowd for the show as well. Weeknd performed at the Allegiant Stadium to a massive audience. The concert hit a brief snag when a fire started right as people were leaving the venue. It was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.

There’s no word yet as to why Tyga was in town. The rapper has been busy with his own music, so perhaps he was simply on vacation.

Paulo Costa Says He Took A “Long Shower” After Luke Rockhold Smeared Blood On Him At UFC 278

Paulo Costa says that he needed to take a “long shower” after his fight with Luke Rockhold at UFC 278, during which Rockhold smeared the blood from his broken nose over Costa’s face. Costa went on to win the fight by unanimous decision with scores of 30-27.

“Man, I didn’t see it in the moment of the fight,” Costa said afterward. “I just felt something on my face. But I was also worried about blocking his arms, and not getting hit with an elbow or punch. But now when I saw, it was very disgusting. It’s a very weird moment.”

He continued: “I don’t know why he did that. Maybe he was so frustrated and angry because he was losing the fight. I took a very long shower after the fight.”

The clip, which quickly went viral on social media, shows Rockhold pinning Costa on the ground and rubbing his blood-splattered face all over his opponent.

Rockhold announced his retirement after the fight: “I’ve been through so much the last years. Thank you fighting, thank you UFC, thank you Joe. I can’t f—king do this any more. I gave it my all and it just didn’t … I’m f—king old.”

Joe Rogan congratulated Rockhold on his “amazing display of perseverance and guts and courage” during the post-fight interview.

Rockhold ends his career at 16-6 while Costa rises to 14-2.
