Yungblud is set to perform at the NFL Halftime Show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

Taking to social media earlier today (Friday September 30), Yungblud revealed he would be appearing this Sunday October 2 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – the first purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the US – where the Minnesota Vikings will play against New Orleans Saints.

“It’s gunna be mad,” Yungblud wrote. “Tell yer mates.”

Yungblud’s announcement comes off the back of the release of his self-titled third album earlier this month.

Featuring the singles ‘Don’t Feel Like Feeling Sad Today’, ‘Tissues’, ‘Funeral’ and the Willow-assisted ‘Memories’, a four-star review from NME‘s Ali Shutler said the album was “driven by love, sincerity and vulnerability, as Dom Harrison kills his critics with kindness”.

Meanwhile in the US, next year’s Superbowl – the championship game of the NFL – will see Rhianna headline its halftime show.

Confirmed earlier this week, Rihanna was locked in to appear after Taylor Swift reportedly turned down the opportunity.

When she takes to the stage at on February 12, 2023, at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, it will mark the first time Rihanna has given a live performance since her show at the 2018 Grammys. Her last album was in 2016, when Rihanna dropped her eighth studio effort ‘Anti’.

Fat Joe Knew About Rihanna Super Bowl Halftime News “For Months”

We’re less than six months away from the next Super Bowl, but the recent news of Rihanna’s Halftime performance has fans anticipating the event. Amid speculation regarding Rihanna’s phantom forthcoming album, the world learned that she would be taking her talents to the coveted NFL stage for what is expected to be a monumental event. Kanye West stirred the pot by hinting that he wants to be or already is a part of the spectacle, but we will have to wait for an official announcement about any other guests.

Meanwhile, industry secrets are hard to keep, but Fat Joe told Extra that he’s known about this news for some time.

“I knew this for months and I never told nobody. I am Roc Nation… I just kept it to myself!” he said as he promoted his BET Hip Hop Awards hosting gig next week. Fat Joe referred to Rihanna as “The Black Marilyn Monroe” and added, “We’ve been waiting for her… We want to see Rihanna bad! Super Bowl Sunday, that thing is going to be legendary.”

When speaking of the BET Hip Hop Awards, Joe said that this is his time to shine. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment… There’s no way to describe how honored I am to represent Hip Hop music.”

The filming of the Hip Hop Awards is underway right now, so stay tuned to HNHH for more news on the ceremony. Check out the award show on Tuesday, October 4.

The Nike Air Flight ’89 Returns After A Two-Year Hiatus

Amidst its onslaught of Air Force 1 and Nike Dunk propositions, The Swoosh has chosen to selectively return to the heritage-filled aesthetic of its 1990s silhouettes. Headlined by the Nike Air Flight various successors haven’t been seen since 2020 outside of the Air Flight Lite that recently surfaced in a “Lemon” proposition. Resuming its in-line colorways from 1989, the Air Flight ’89 is returning after a two-year hiatus to a familiar black, red and white collection.

With its sole unit and eye stays pulled directly from the Air Jordan 4, the Flight 89 comes chock-full will hallmarks of its retro past such as tumbled white leathers filling the upper and synonymous “NIKE AIR” heel counter branding that recently returned to the “Fire Red” AJ 3. Accented by a black sock liner, Nike Checks and tread, the model’s neutral-toned base calls for seldom touches of a titular “Team Red” filling the eye stays and lining of the forefoot overlay in conclusion.

Enjoy official images of the three-toned Air Flight ’89 offering below while we sit tight on further release details as they’re made available by the Beaverton-based brand.

Nine Can’t Miss Sneaker News Headlines From September 24th to September 30th

Alas, October is upon us. To celebrate the occasion, some of the biggest players in the sneaker space have teased footwear for the fall and winter seasons, as well as first half of 2023.

Handfuls of Air Jordan retros have surfaced via official and unofficial channels over the last week, with an Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “White Cement” headlining the cohort. Elsewhere, Hiroshi Fujiwara sent social media into a frenzy by donning an unreleased pair of his fragment design collaboration with Travis Scott. No release details have been disclosed by either party involved, but it’s rather unlikely that the sail and blue-covered shoe drops at retail.

Joe Freshgoods and New Balance continues to dominate wish-lists everywhere, with the Chicago creative recently taking to Instagram to share that his “Performance Art” 993 trio will release in October. The New Balance 990v6 continues to surface overseas, with rumors suggesting the FuelCell foam-donning silhouette will actually debut in 2023 and not 2022 as was initially expected. Teddy Santis and his Aimé Leon Dore team also confirmed a launch date for their next New Balance 650 collection: Monday, October 3rd.

For a look at all that and more, including new Nike LeBron 20, adidas adiFOM Q and SB Dunk styles, check out our top headlines from September 24th to September 30th ahead.

Posthumous Drakeo The Ruler Project, “Keep The Truth Alive,” Has Arrived

It’s been nearly a year since Drakeo The Ruler was tragically stabbed to death in Los Angeles, and while his fans continue to miss the “Talk To Me” hitmaker, his estate is doing their part to ensure his legacy lives on with his first posthumous album.

Keep The Truth Alive arrived at midnight on Friday (September 30) featuring 18 new tracks – the majority of which find Drakeo handling the beat by himself, although Ralfy the Plug did join him for “Suicide Dawn” and “Stop Me.”

As The Fader notes, many tracks on the project consist of bite-sized songs and skits, but the late lyricist’s rhymes are as poignant as ever, leaving plenty of mysteries for listeners to unravel with each stream.

Stream Drakeo The Ruler’s Keep The Truth Alive below, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop music updates.

Keep The Truth Alive Tracklist:

7. DRAKEO Not Drake-O

New Episode Of “Atlanta” Includes A Surprise Gunna Cameo

Gunna may have spent the last couple of months (and potentially the next few as well) locked up in jail, but that doesn’t mean the DS4EVER hitmaker isn’t still managing to make major career moves.

As HipHopDX reports, Thursday (September 29) night’s episode of Atlanta saw the 29-year-old make his acting debut, playing himself alongside Brian Tyree Henry’s Paper Boi, who he was filmed playing cards with in the studio for their scene together.

The pair were engaged in a tense round of Uno – one which Gunna appeared to be losing – as Paper slammed down a “wild” card before selecting the colour yellow as his choice.

At this point, the “P Power” hitmaker accused his competitor of cheating, saying, “You know I ain’t got no more yellow cards.” Henry’s character responded by stating that that was the whole point of his move before throwing down two “draw four” cards, prompting Wunna to opt for an L.

Just a few seconds later, Childish Gambino’s Earn arrived in the scene, followed by Paper Boi’s Aunt Jeanie who promptly kicked everyone out of the studio.

— JLewis (@LionUNLTD) September 30, 2022

It’s been noted that the episode was filmed this time last year inside Studio 9000, or the “A Room” at Atlanta’s own Pathwork Studios.

Aside from his TV triumph, Gunna is also likely feeling good to have his attorney Steve Sadow working so hard for his freedom. Currently, the rapper’s legal team is filing their third attempt at getting their client his ability to bond out of jail.

“Franz Kafka would be shocked to learn that ‘imprison him now; present the evidence sometime in the future’ appears to be the State’s reality in Fulton County,” Sadow declared in court. “The prosecution has been afforded ample time to develop evidence to support its motion to detain Kitchens. It has not succeeded.”

Though the lawyer makes a compelling argument, it should be noted that if the Fulton County judge denies this attempt, Gunna will remain behind bars until his trial is set to begin in January of 2023.

Ime Udoka Reportedly Made “Crude” Remarks About Celtics Subordinate

Ime Udoka was suspended for one full year by the Boston Celtics last week as it was revealed that he had a sexual relationship with a subordinate who worked for the team. This is completely against the rules of the organization, even if the relationship was consensual. It’s a story that has left the Celtics in disarray and it has also led to speculation that perhaps Udoka did something much worse.

On top of all of this, Udoka has been ridiculed online as he ultimately cheated on Nia Long. Long is beloved by fans, and the fact that Udoka ruined his marriage is a huge topic of conversation right now.

Elsa/Getty Images

Now, a new report from Adrian Wojnarowski is claiming that things aren’t looking so good for Udoka right now. An independent law firm investigating Udoka reportedly found evidence that he used “crude” language toward the woman that he ended up having a relationship with.

This largely impacted the length of his suspension, and Woj is writing that Udoka might not be able to find a place with the team next year, all things considered.

Those investigative findings – described as verbiage on Udoka’s part that was deemed especially concerning coming from a workplace superior – contribute to what is likely a difficult pathway back to his reinstatement as Celtics coach in 2023, sources told ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) September 30, 2022

This is yet another vague update on this story that doesn’t provide a full picture of events. While that might be on the way, this is still a frustrating time for Celtics fans, who just want answers.

Stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the NBA.

Watch Yeah Yeah Yeahs perform ‘Burning’ on ‘Kimmel’

Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed their single ‘Burning’ on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, lifted from their new album ‘Cool It Down’.

READ MORE: Yeah Yeah Yeahs – ‘Cool It Down’ review: a triumphant, rewarding return

The band – comprising Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase – were the musical guests on the September 30 episode of the talk show, where they performed the ‘Cool It Down’ cut the same day of the album’s release.

With Karen O positioned on top of a faux and fiery rock, Yeah Yeah Yeahs delivered an electric, pulsating performance under cover of smoke and strobes.

Check out the performance below:

The release of fifth studio album ‘Cool It Down’ marked the outfit’s first album in nine years, after the release of ‘Mosquito’ back in 2013.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs marked the album’s announcement with the release of the Perfume Genius-featuring single ‘Spitting Off The Edge Of The World’.

They followed that with the release of another single, ‘Burning’, and debuted the album cut ‘Lovebomb’ at a show in Chicago earlier this month.

In a five-star review of ‘Cool It Down’, NME‘s Erica Campbell noted how the release saw Yeah Yeah Yeahs “focus on a new imaginative future”.

“With ‘Cool It Down’ the trio disregard expectations with ease, bursting through conjectures with tracks that make the apocalypse sound fun.”

Having announced headline shows back in March, Yeah Yeah Yeahs made a return to the UK live stage back in June, adding more dates to the run before it kicked off to meet demand.

In May, the group teased US shows in a novel way when they utilised sky-writing and tennis balls to spell out “YYY”. Yeah Yeah Yeahs later confirmed a US stretch, with headline shows confirmed to be taking place at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on October 1 and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 6.

INVINCIBLE & N.HOOLYWOOD Rejoin For The New Balance 1906R “Grey Swan”

Not often are we treated with a collaboration involving a trifecta of influential institutions. Invincible, one of Asia’s most prominent boutiques, is raising the bar with its latest project with New Balance and Japan’s N.HOOLYWOOD, once again focusing on the statement grey hue of the footwear brand and adding their signature elements.

Dubbed the “Grey Swan”, this New Balance 1906R brings back the hairy suede exteriors seen in previous New Balance collaborations such as the 2002R, 996, and 574, while the outward text hits at the toe-box call on N.HOOLYWOOD’s utilitarian aesthetic. Grey is indeed the focus as there are five different materials graced onto the layers and panels, shaded in the neutral hue; pops of a bright, hazardous orange appears view the heel pull-tab and forefoot outsole. Finally, a cream off-white wraps the medial and lateral walls of the outsole, adding to that aged look.

Currently, a raffle is now live directly on Invincible (check the link below), with entries accepted through October 5th (winners to be notified on October 8th).

In other news, the ALD 550 releases are coming soon as part of the brand’s FW22 collection.
