The adidas Campus 00s Is Ostensibly Inspired By Early 2000s Skate Shoes

While initially crafted for the hardwood, the adidas Campus was quickly adopted as a silhouette for a multitude of sub-cultures, most notably within the skateboarding ecosystem. This Fall season, The Three Stripes Originals haus has announced a retooled proposition directly inspired by the puffed up 2000s skate shoes that the silhouette reveled amongst.

Exploring grander proportions with its exaggerated tongue and wider midfoot construction, the adidas Campus 00s inherits genes from the 80s while employing a “Bark” shaded suede across the entirety of its upper and tongue. A slightly lighter hue takes over the laces and sock liner whereas seldom crisp “Cloud White” contrasts proffer further retro-inspired schemes along the leather heel tab and midfoots Three Stripes. Sitting atop an aged “Off-white” midsole, the silhouette concludes above a chocolate brown rubber tread that’s pulled directly from the brand’s Campus heritage.

While currently available in Canada, the adidas Campus 00s has yet to make a release stateside. For now, sit tight and await future updates.

Renni Rucci Keeps It Real On New Single “Keep The Change”

Renni Rucci may be from a small town in South Carolina, but her social media fame, paired with her knack for music, has her in the big leagues. The 31-year-old started her rap career a few years ago and has been on the rise ever since.

From remixing popular songs from big-name artists to having her own hits like “Hands on Ya Knees” and “Elevators,” Renni has solidified herself in the rap game. Since being signed to Wolf Pack Global Music, a subsidiary of Quality Control, the mother of two has worked tirelessly to maintain her spot.

On Friday, October 28, Renni released her single “Keep the Change.” The three-minute record featured a bass-thumping beat, fitting for the rapstress’ heavy voice.

Showing off her lyrical abilities, Renni spit bars about a plethora of topics. From having haters who are intimidated by her luxurious lifestyle to being posted on drama-filled blogs, the artist was sure not to leave anything out.

She also spoke about being on reality television. Renni made her debut on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta last year during its ninth season. While she is also featured in the tenth season, that may be coming to an end.

“I’m on tv now/But I been thinking about closing that curtain/They want to know what I’m doing, who I’m screwing, where I be at, how I’m moving/But I keep the sh*t discreet/Can’t have them f*cking up my movement,” she rapped fiercely.

The star also created a cypher-like music video for the record. As she stood in front of her luxurious cars, Renni rapped her lyrics with confidence.

Stream the record and watch the video below.

Quotable Lyrics
30 bands off the stripper pole
I been these b*tches goals
He f*ck with you, then he can’t f*ck with me
Don’t want you b*tches h*es

Nicki Minaj Brings Out Fivio Foreign & 2 Chainz At Powerhouse 105 Show

As the Queen of Rap, Nicki Minaj loves to get her flowers. She recently performed at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse show in New Jersey, where she was able to perform her biggest songs for some of her biggest fans. A recent performance at Philly saw her show off her flexibility on stage. She was going hard to rep her home city of New York and her connections to Atlanta rap, and she knew just the right people to show it. Nicki brought out 2 Chainz and Fivio Foreign to perform as special guests during the show.

The first thing people noticed was Nicki’s amazing green fit, complete with dyed hair and looking like a dripped-out professional MC. Her show was filled with hits like “Truffle Butter,” “Moment 4 Life,” and “Super Freaky Girl,” and her eccentric and attention-demanding performance brought them to life.

Fivio hopped on stage to perform his hit song with the Barb: “We Go Up.” Videos of the performance indicate it was electric, with Fivio’s commanding live voice taking over his more measured performance on the track. Nicki was feeling his energy, working in her own ad-libs and lyric matches into his verse as he spit for the crowd. Nicki’s really been on that drill wave to rep her city’s sound, and it’s a style she flows over effortlessly.

Nicki’s other guest, however, was there to bring it back for older fans. 2 Chainz emerged under stage lights to perform “Beez in the Trap,” which is one of the classic Nicki hits from the Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded era. 2 Chainz seemed to be having just as much fun on stage with the song as he was when he recorded it. His voice is just perfect to hear in a live setting, with the right blend of charisma and clarity to sink audiences in.

In other Nicki news, she’s been caught in a bit of a weird beef with Megan Thee Stallion, Teyana Taylor, and Tasha K after the latter gossiped about Meg and Teyana on a live session with the “Anaconda” star. While she’s not directly involved in that debacle, she was beefing with Latto recently over Grammy nominee categorizations, even if she won’t let it stop her from going to the party. That’s just the Nicki way: “I feel like I am in a really good space and therefore, why not? Why not put on a beautiful dress and cover my big boobs and show off my big old butt. Why not go and flaunt it?”

Lori Harvey Recreates Iconic Beyoncé Looks For Halloween

The creativity we’ve seen from celebrities and social media users alike has been unmatched this Halloween, and the haunted holiday hasn’t even officially hit yet.

Instead of dressing up in classic costumes like witches, vampires, ghosts, and goblins, many famous faces have instead, opted to channel the energy of other popular figures. For example, Lizzo stepped out as both Chrisean Rock (who’s been having an unfortunately horrendous Halloweekend of her own) and Marge Simpson, as well as Diddy, who gave us his take on Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight.

Yet another socialite who caught our attention with her outfit(s) of the night is 25-year-old Lori Harvey, who cleverly recreated several iconic Beyoncé moments from earlier in the mother of three’s career.

On Saturday (October 29), the model shared a photo dump of her sporting a blonde wig complete with straight-across bangs. “All the ladies if you feel me help me sing it outtttt,” she captioned the post. “‘Me, Myself and I: Part I.’”

Throughout the sequence of snapshots, Harvey can be seen perfectly recreating Queen B’s dramatic hair flip, subtly showing off her curves in an all-black outfit.

Hours later, the Memphis-born media personality returned with more Loriyoncé content for the masses, this time pulling her sleek blonde hair back into a low bun while rocking large silver earrings and a green and white lowcut gown laced with several sultry cutouts around her midsection.

Following a clip of her strutting backwards while looking distressed, Harvey included her inspiration from the RENAISSANCE hitmaker’s own music video, as well as a candid photo of her full glamorous ensemble.

Check it out below, and tap back in with HNHH tomorrow for a full round-up of the best celebrity looks from Halloween 2022.

Facebook’s Meta Turns One Year Old

On October 28, 2021, Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook would be renaming itself Meta. The company was attempting to revitalize itself after a year of bad news story after bad news story. Reports came out that Facebook’s products were perhaps bad for society; Apple threatened to become more strict about the platform’s privacy infringements; teens were turning to TikTok rather than Facebook or Instagram. The list went on and on.

Now, after a year as Meta, it seems like very little has changed. When Zuckerberg announced the new name, he made clear he didn’t just want it to be a rebranding exercise. The CEO promised that the company would create a “metaverse,” what he believed to be the future of virtual reality. One year later, that future still looks far away.

SUN VALLEY, IDAHO – JULY 08: CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg walks to lunch following a session at the Allen & Company Sun Valley Conference on July 08, 2021 in Sun Valley, Idaho. After a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world’s most wealthy and powerful businesspeople from the media, finance, and technology worlds will converge at the Sun Valley Resort for the exclusive week-long conference. As CNN Business notes, Meta has spent billions of dollars on the metaverse, and it’s still unclear if it will ever even get off the ground. While the company burns more and more cash, its financial standing looks less and less certain.

Meta’s concrete moves into the virtual reality space, the Quest 2 and the Quest Pro VR headsets, are popular for VR accessories, but haven’t caught fire outside of that market, CNN Business reports. Meanwhile, Horizon Worlds, the VR space created by Meta, remains under-utilized, even if some big names are getting involved.

This underwhelming news is compounded by the fact that it’s unclear whether the general public even wants a metaverse. Stills and videos from Horizon Worlds get routinely clowned on, and people’s definition of what the metaverse actually is remains murky.

Meta’s problems are made even worse by a newcomer in the social media field, TikTok. CNN Business reports that Meta’s business is contracting as a result of TikTok’s massive gains in recent years. Just this week, Meta reported a quarterly drop in revenue, which is only the second time such a report has been made in Facebook history. Combine the TikTok phenomenon with less ad revenue and slower user growth, and the picture continues to get bleaker.

Gil Luria, a D.A. Davidson technology strategist, laid out the company’s position in stark terms: “The business is not growing in 2022. There is expectation that it will grow going forward, but that expectation may prove to be optimistic.”

Diddy Recruits Yung Miami For “Diddy Freestyle” Music Video

Diddy is one of hip-hop’s most successful, iconic, and influential moguls. While he’s always been in conversations surrounding the game, he’s recently started to become more of a notable force in the music world once more. He released the successful “Gotta Move On” with Bryson Tiller, which even got its own remix EP, and released a greatest hits-style compilation this June. He’s just dropped a video for a freestyle titled “Diddy Freestyle” that features Yung Miami, his rumored partner but self-affirmed best friend.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – OCTOBER 18: Sean “Diddy” Combs surprises students at his Capital Preparatory School in the Bronx on October 18, 2022 in New York City. (Photo by Mike Coppola/Getty Images for Sean “Diddy” Combs)

The video opens at 5AM in New York City, and while the bright lights and skyscrapers fit the Big Apple vibe, the song certainly doesn’t. It uses the same sample from Dre and Snoop’s iconic West Coast classic, “Nuthin’ But A G Thang,” and it’s weird to see Diddy flaunt around New York with a beat synonymous with Compton palm trees. Still, the beat works in some traditional East Coast claps and shimmering synth pads to bring the track back to blunger-out city streets. But what’s interesting about this new music video is that it’s for a four-year-old song.

This “freestyle” video is actually Diddy’s verse on the track “Bad Boy Watcha Gon’ Do? Dre Day,” which also features Rick Ross and the legendary Biggie Smalls. So, you might be asking, what really makes this new and what makes it a freestyle? Well, it’s unclear whether Diddy’s original verse on “Bad Boy…” was off the top, but despite the misnomer, it’s still a pretty cool video. It was actually shot in between takes for his “Gotta Move On” Queens remix visuals.

— 2DOPEBOYZ (@2DopeBoyz) October 27, 2022

Mr. Combs, who just became hip-hop’s third billionaire, spits bars walking on NYC streets with a puffy coat, switching between a quick pace through storefronts or just sitting next to his coupe. He also rides around the city in it with none other than Yung Miami of City Girls, with whom Puff Daddy has a very close relationship. Fling rumors have dogged them for months, but there’s still not much hard evidence for fans to work it. It’s basically one of those unspoken truths that everyone’s just waiting for confirmation on.

Stay tuned to HotNewHipHop for the hottest new music video drops, and to see what crazy career moves Diddy makes in the future.
