South Park and adidas have kept quiet since launching one of the better April 20th-related sneaker collaborations in recent memory seven month ago. For their latest joint-project, both parties are keeping things playful, outfitting the iconic adidas Stan Smith in an ensemble inspired by Stan Marsh.
A mix between Eric Cartman and Kyle Broflovski, the youngest member of the Marsh family has his iconic winter hat recreated on the classic adidas Originals offering. Synthetic leather throughout most of the pair’s upper and inner-lining, as well as suede on the tongue, indulge in a rich blue tone the fabric-covered component replaces traditional Stan Smith branding with a graphic of the pre-teen looking out-of-place. Unlike most iterations of the made-for-tennis model, South Park’s latest footwear collaboration features a reinforcing suede strip from quarter panel to spine. Trefoil-branded overlays at the rear boast the Marsh’s go-to “SWEET DUDE” reply in a barely-discernible finish.
An official adidas.com release date hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s possible a launch coincides with South Park’s move to the Paramount+ streaming service on November 25th. In any case, enjoy images of the sneakers ahead.
