Though it’s unknown whether we’ll ever see another music project from G-Dragon, there’s at least solace in the artist’s Nike collaborations. Come this December, the two will reunite for an entirely original shoe — the Kwondo 1 — which presents ideas unique from the Air Force 1 “PARA-NOISE” before it.
Teased both by close friends and the Big Bang leader himself, the Kwondo 1 is an all-white design that seems to borrow from many outside influences. For starters, the brogue detailing that runs replete through the upper is a direct nod to the sartorial, likening the pair to classic dress shoes. Below, the sole proffers a slight platform and a clean exterior that’s not at all dissimilar to the Margom soles used on luxury sneakers. And finally, the fringe-less kiltie covers the lace unit, acting both as a shield and a stage for the PEACEMINUSONE logo. Additional branding is found on the lace tips, insole, and the heel tab as well.
Enjoy a close-up look at G-Dragon’s latest offering here and sit tight as we await the December 3rd release.
