One fan replied, “Been listening to spitta since I was 11 years old. Im turning 31 next month.” Evidently, all of the fans that replied were in agreeance that they were indeed the most loyal. It’s hard to dispute that when you look at Curren$y’s career over the years. He’s never been one to crossover to the mainstream but still has mainstream success thanks to his concrete solid fanbase. Spitta also thanks the blog era for accepting him early and giving him the motivation to keep dropping more projects.

Not only that but to attest to the strength of Spitta’s loyal fanbase, one fan threw bags of weed on stage every time the rapper played one of their favorite tracks. Back in March, Andretti sat down with Hot 97 to promote his collab tape with legendary producer Jermaine Dupri. He shared how he fell into being one of the pivotal members of the “blog era.” “I tell people all the time my homegirl just typed in Google when I put my first mixtape… That’s how I learned of all the blogs,” He told Ebro and the crew. Later he explained how seeing others write about him instead of the heavy hitters such as XXL gave him a revelation to cater to the tons more people that are rocking with his music and writing about it rather than trying to deal with the bigger publications.
