Rising country artist Brittney Spencer will kick-off her first headlining tour starting Dec. 2 at New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall, with stops also planned for Washington, D.C., and the singer’s hometown of Baltimore.

Spencer, who is booked by UTA, will take her In a Perfect World tour to 15 cities, winding down on Feb. 12 at Growler’s in Memphis. The club tour takes its name from lyrics in her current single “Sober & Skinny.”

The dates are sandwiched in between the singer/songwriter’s already robust live slate, which currently has her opening for Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Brett Eldredge through mid-November and Reba McEntire in early 2022.

“I’ve fallen head-over-heels in love with performing live since releasing my debut EP Compassion last December,” Spencer tells Billboard. “So, my band and I are gearing up to do my first ever headlining tour. Insane! I’ll be showcasing songs that I’ve  released over the last year, along with some new material that’s soon-to-be-released as well.”

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test are required for entry. Opening for Spencer are Sam Williams, Abbey Cone and Camille Parker.

Spencer’s star has been ascending since last October when she posted a cover of herself performing The Highwomen’s “Crowded Table” on Twitter, which led to band members Maren Morris and Amanda Shires retweeting the snippet and inviting her to sing with them once the pandemic was over. That dream came true last month when she stepped in for an ailing Shires at The Highwomen’s appearance at the BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival.

In addition to releasing her own music independently, in the last year Spencer has written with Morris, Shires, Brandy Clark, Blanco Brown, Isbell, Jimmie Allen and other acts. Both Spotify and Pandora named her a 2021 artist to watch, while CMT inducted her into its Next Women of Country class of 2021.

Spencer is expected to release a full album next year.
