Sam Fender has shared a new video for his latest single ‘Get You Down’ – watch the bloody visual below.

READ MORE: On the cover – Sam Fender: “This album is probably the best thing I’ve done in my life”

The new video, directed by Hector Dockrill, follows Fender’s recent video for ‘Spit Of You’, which saw This Is England star Stephen Graham playing the role of the singer’s father.

In the ‘Get You Down’ video, Fender drives a car around a racetrack before being involved in a bloody accident.

In a four-star review of ‘Seventeen Going Under’, NME wrote: “[The album] sees Fender realise that it can kick back a lot harder, and he counts every blow and bruise. But he seems to have found that time passes and that most wounds – even the deepest – will eventually heal, if he can allow them to.”

Following the album’s release, Fender informed fans that some deliveries of his new album had been delayed by “Brexit customs issues” and “fuel shortages”.

He will head out on a huge UK arena tour next year, including an appearance at Wembley Arena in London on April 1, with gigs also taking place in Nottingham (March 20), Liverpool (March 21), Glasgow (March 26) and Newcastle (April 5). New dates were added to the tour last week, which follows an existing run of rescheduled sold-out shows across the rest of October and November.

ABBA Unleashes ‘Ridiculously Happy’ Song ‘Just A Notion’: Stream It Now

After a four-decade-long hiatus, a new strain of ABBA Mania is sweeping the globe.

The Swedish pop legends broke the drought last month with two new releases, “Don’t Shut Me Down,” and “I Still Have Faith In You,” both of which appear on the foursome’s forthcoming album Voyage, due out Nov. 5.

Today, fans are treated to a third fresh ABBA tune, “Just A Notion.”

A rollicking, feel-good number, “Just A Notion” feels like peak-era ABBA. And there’s a reason for that. “Just A Notion’ was originally written and recorded in the summer of 1978 during the early sessions for ABBA’s sixth studio album Voulez-Vous, but didn’t make the final cut.

It’s a “treasure from the past,” in the band’s own words.

“Just A Notion,” recounts founding member Björn Ulvaeus in a social media post, is “a ridiculously happy song and hopefully it will cheer you up in these dark times!”

In his own words.

ABBA releases a treasure from the past. ‘Just A Notion’ was first recorded way back in 1978 but never released – until now. https://t.co/mbuzOvq9Uj#ABBA#JustANotion pic.twitter.com/4r3Rn0DhQt

ABBA’s comeback has been well received. In the U.K. “Don’t Shut Me Down” debuted at No. 9 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, for the group’s 20th Top 10 single, while “I Still Have Faith In You” was close behind, starting at No. 14 on the main chart and topping the Official Vinyl Singles Chart.

The Swedes will take their marks next spring for ABBA Voyage, a virtual residency housed at a custom-built arena in east London.

Day6’s Jae says he is experiencing freedom “for the first time in ten years”

Day6’s Jae Park has spoken out about how he is experiencing freedom “for the first time” in ten years.

READ MORE: Day6 (Even Of Day): “Whenever we listen to songs in different languages, there’s still emotions that we can feel”

During an October 21 Instagram Live broadcast – as archived on YouTube – the Korean-American singer briefly talked about some new changes in his life, including his newfound freedom and recent tattoos. This comes after another session from earlier this month where he had discussed how his hiatus from Day6 wasn’t his choice.

Jae – who releases solo music under the moniker eaJ – said that his new tattoos represent his newfound happiness and freedom. “This is just very much me, experiencing and expressing my freedom for the first time in ten years. And me being able to do whatever the fuck I want, solely because I want to.”

The Day6 vocalist went on to express his excitement for the changes to come, although he didn’t specify what that might be or entail. “For the first time in my life, I get to be ‘real Jae’. No more PG, Disney Channel filter bullshit. Just actual Jae,” he declared. “I’m very very happy and excited about that.”

He later ended the session discussing his upcoming appearance at 88rising’s Head In The Clouds 2021 festival in Los Angeles next month. “That’s probably where I’m gonna see and talk to you [next]. I’m super excited. I’m really really excited, and a little nervous,” Jae shared.

Earlier this week, the singer had held a brief Instagram Live broadcast to reassure fans about this well-being. “I don’t know where this all came from. I’m chillin’. Don’t worry about me. I’m not going to do anything crazy,” Jae explained during the broadcast. “Shit happens. It’s fine. It’s just how life goes on.”

Jamie Spears hires new lawyer after suspension from Britney’s conservatorship

Britney Spears‘ father Jamie has hired a new lawyer after he was suspended from his daughter’s controversial conservatorship after 13 years.
In a landmark hearing in June, the pop star publicly called for an end to her conservatorship, which was overseen by her father, Jamie Spears. Jamie maintained control over Spears’ assets, finances, career and more, the continuation of which Spears called “abusive”, adding that she “would honestly like to sue my family”.

Three months later, on September 30, Jamie was suspended from his role as conservator, Judge Brenda Penny saying it was “in the best interest of the conservatee”, with accountant John Zabel – nominated by Britney’s team – being appointed as an interim fiduciary conservator.
In a statement shared with CNN, Jamie’s former attorney Vivian L. Thoreen confirmed that she had stepped down as his representative, saying: “We are proud of our work on behalf of Jamie Spears and stand by his and our actions.
“We continue to have a good relationship, and are pleased that we have been able to help Jamie find new counsel. I am confident that Jamie’s new counsel will continue to prove that he has always acted in Britney’s best interests every step of the way.”
As CNN report, Thoreen will be replaced as Spears’ lawyer by Alex M. Weingarten from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.

Last week (October 15), Spears opened up about life after her conservatorship, the strict rules enforced during it and the treatment she received by her family.

“I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in … and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake !!!” she wrote on Instagram.

The decision to remove Jamie as his daughter’s conservator last month led to an influx of activity from Spears, highlighting several aspects of the experience by initially saying she was “on cloud nine”, then hitting out at her family over their handling of the conservatorship, then addressing the #FreeBritney movement and thanking her supporters. Jamie, however, issued a statement saying his suspension from the role was “a loss for Britney”.

Elsewhere, Spears says she is writing a book about the ghost of a murdered girl who is stuck in limbo. Sharing a brief synopsis to her Instagram, fans were quick to draw similarities between Spears’ character and her situation with the conservatorship.

Watch the video for No Rome’s cathartic new single, ‘When She Comes Around’

Filipino singer-songwriter No Rome has released the new single, ‘When She Comes Around’.

READ MORE: No Rome on his new rock-inspired album: “It’s like this emo kid-turned-raver who’s always alone in the club”

The single was issued earlier today (October 22) on digital platforms via Dirty Hit. Prior to its release, No Rome unveiled a brief 25-second visual teaser and also confirmed the title of his upcoming album: ‘It’s All Smiles’, which is due out in December.

‘When She Comes Around’ is its first single, a lovelorn R&B song awash in shoegaze guitars and distorted drums. It received a striking music video, directed by Paco Raterta, filled with gritty city scenes and a vehicle set aflame. Watch it below.

Earlier today, BusinessMirror reported that ‘It’s All Smiles’ is due for release on December 3. The album was recorded in No Rome’s hometown of Manila and was co-produced by No Rome, BJ Burton, Sachi DiSerafino and The 1975’s George Daniel.

In a statement, No Rome revealed he recorded the song after watching Björk in a live performance of her album ‘Vespertine’.

“I wanted to make a song that was heavy on the strings but after days of working on it I eventually brought it to a more guitar-driven song,” he said, per BusinessMirror.

“I sent this song to BJ and he came back with something much more than I expected, with more textures and stronger bass sounds and just better structure really and we just went crazy on it.”

In an interview with NME in April, No Rome spoke about ‘It’s All Smiles’, saying that the album is “something that I’ve wanted to say as a musician for a while.”

In April, No Rome landed on Forbes’ 2021 30 Under 30 Asia list alongside Hong Kong’s Jackson Wang of GOT7, South Korean singer-songwriter IU, and New Zealand singer BENEE.

Watch CL take on the ‘Hot Ones’ challenge: “I hate my team, they were so excited about this”

CL has taken on First We Feast’s popular ‘Hot Ones’ challenge, trying a range of spicy sauces that rank progressively higher on the Scoville scale.

READ MORE: CL – ‘ALPHA’ review: an incandescent return well worth the wait

The South Korean singer released her long-awaited debut full-length album ‘ALPHA’ earlier this week, alongside the music video for its latest single ‘Tie A Cherry’. Accompanied by ‘Hot Ones’ host Sean Evans, CL tried a selection of sauces that get progressively spicier throughout the interview.

“Eating on camera, I don’t think I’ve ever done that before,” said the K-pop veteran, taking her first bite from a classic hot sauce-covered wing. “It’s good!” she exclaims.

As the singer moved up the Scoville scale, CL opened up about her creative process. “It’s a character I build, and once that message and who she is is created, everything I want to talk about comes and flows naturally,” she shared.

The star went on to reflect on her time with girl group 2NE1, where she first debuted in 2007. “I think being able to work with three very different types of characters, together as a group – I learned so much from them,” she reflected.

“Like, [Park] Bom’s vocals are amazing, and just learning how she talks, even, helps a lot, and you’re just around that all the time,” the former 2NE1 leader. “Things like that, they’re just naturally soaked into me. They are a part of me, always.”

Later, Evans asked CL how Korean food measures up to other cuisines in terms of spiciness. “It’s very spicy. But at the same time, I cant really talk because there’s a lot going on right now,” she answered with teary eyes. “Am I high right now?”

“I don’t think you’re supposed to put that on food,” the singer exclaimed as she approached the spiciest sauces in the challenge. “I hate my team, they were so excited about this, about me being here.”

In a four-star review of CL’s ‘ALPHA’, NME said called the record “a homecoming by all definitions of the word, the singer-rapper takes an unabashed leap into the unknown while forging and fortifying her signature sound.”

ENHYPEN explain how ‘Dimension : Dilemma’ is an “extension” of their story

ENHYPEN have opened up about how their debut studio album ‘Dimension : Dilemma’ reflects their own journey as musicians.

READ MORE: ENHYPEN: “We’re determined to become ‘the’ destination for K-pop fans around the world”

In a recent interview with Billboard, the seven-member act spoke about how their latest release picks up from where their May mini-album ‘Border : Carnival’ left off. The record, which arrived last week alongside its lead single ‘Tamed-Dashed’, had marked the group’s first full-length album.

“In the ‘Border’ album, we talked about our experience and the emotions we felt before and just after our debut. But on this new ‘Dimension’ album, we try to express and portray the emotions we felt after being part of the music industry for about a year now,” shared Australian-raised member Jake.

“This new [post-debut] world is much more complex and much more multi-dimensional than we expected,” he added.

Elsewhere in the interview, the boyband also discussed their decision to incorporate themes of rugby and American football in their music video for ‘Tamed-Dashed’. “When a team plays sports together, they laugh, cry, and share a wide range of emotions,” said Japanese member Ni-ki.

“So, we thought that the sports theme was perfect to illustrate the story of the track, which expresses the resolution to run forward and past one’s dilemma,” he explained.

ENHYPEN also spoke about exploring different genres though in ‘Dimension : Dilemma’. “All of the members are interested in various genres of music,” said Heesung, who shared that their decision to include a variety of genres in the album was “a way to show many aspects of ENHYPEN’s charms”.

In a four-star review of the release, NME’s Tanu I. Raj praised alt-rock inspired b-side ‘Attention, Please!’, describing it as a “neat throwback to the early 2000s era of indie rock, brought to completion by the intense desire to have both love and popularity.”
