First Look: CLOT Reveals Upcoming Nike Dunk Low Collaboration Covered In Cork

Hot off the heels of their Dunk Low with fragment, CLOT is now preparing yet another take on the Peter Moore-designed icon. This time, however, they’ll be doing so without the assistance of any third parties.

Teased by none other than Edison Chen, founder of the Hong Kong-based streetwear label, the upcoming CLOT x Nike Dunk Low employs a full cork upper. From the overlays to the unders, near every element save for the laces and sole unit seems to be done up in the sustainable material. What’s more, the pair also features detachable Swooshes — and though a blue leather and snakeskin check are pictured, it’s possible they’ll be additional options as well.

Enjoy a quick, early look at the CLOT x Nike Dunk Low right here. Given the “2023” marking on the backside of the heel tab, these are surely releasing later this year. A firm release date will likely be revealed soon, so sit tight and stay tuned for updates.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Elephant Print” Releases On June 23rd

Initially rumored in late December 2022, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Elephant Print” has finally surfaced via official product photos.

A self-referential take on Michael Jordan’s first signature model, the pair features an iconic pattern transplanted from the Air Jordan 3 across its upper. “Tech Grey” panels around the toe, along the tongue, and across the heel are complemented by “Black” and “White” swaths throughout the remainder of the top-half. Branding on the tongue label and Achilles’ Heel take on original specifications produced by Peter Moore in 1985; logos on the sockliner also read “NIKE AIR,” harkening back to the days before Jordan Brand was a full-blown entity. Lastly, the oft-imitated sole unit opts for a “Sail” midsole and light grey outsole combination, rounding out the “Elephant Print” retro.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before June ends.

Iggy Azalea Explains Her Recent Absence, Says She’s “Still Healing” From Injury

Iggy Azalea says she’s still healing her back after getting what was supposed to be a “mundane” surgery, last year. In a post on Instagram in honor of her birthday, Azalea explained her recent absence from social media and thanked fans for their continued support.

“[white heart emoji] Sorry I’ve been gone longer than usual…. I’m still healing my back! I’m doing everything I can to be 100% better as fast as possible so I can get back to being creative!” she wrote in the post. “I miss it! Thanks for all the birthday wishes today.”

Many fans wished the Australian singer a happy birthday in the comments section of her post. One wrote: “I love you! I wish you a happy birthday my little Iggy, I admire you very much, thank you for being this hardworking human being and so amazing. Happy birthday my love.” Another commented: “I love you very much, I’ve been following you for 10 years and seeing how much you have matured and become a happy person even with so many things that have happened in your life [red heart emoji].”

Azalea is currently prepping for the release of her fourth studio album, Hotter Than Hell. She confirmed that she plans to drop the project this summer, earlier this year while launching an OnlyFans page. “I’ve been working on Hotter Than Hell for over six months already, and I’m full of excitement and nervous anticipation to begin revealing it to the world, layer by layer,” Azalea said in a statement at the time. “Admittedly, I never knew OnlyFans was a place where I could be creative, so I didn’t expect to be collaborating with them on my biggest project to date!” Check out Azalea’s latest post on Instagram here.

Chris Paul Says His Daughter Is Bullied For His Lack Of A Ring

Chris Paul has had a storied basketball career. After a standout career at Wake Forest, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance in his freshman year, Paul was drafted fourth overall in 2005 by the New Orleans Hornets. Paul had a slow and steady start to this career. He won Rookie of the Year on a bad Hornets team. However, his rise and prime started in 2008. He earned his first of 12 All-Star appearances and a place on the All-NBA First Team. However, after the NBA nixed a trade that would have sent Paul to the Hornets in 2011, he was instead dealt to the Clippers. His time in LA was marked with six All-NBA Defensive First Team and three more All-NBA First Team awards.

Paul was traded to the Rockets in 2017, where he made his first-ever Conference Finals appearance. However, as the Rockets’ star faded, Paul was moved to Oklahoma City. After a strong season with the Thunder, he was dealt once again to the Suns. However, this proved to be a career resurgence for CP3, as he helped the Sun reach the Finals. However, despite the rising star of the Suns, Paul is yet to secure an NBA ring. What’s more, this is now apparently affecting his daughter.

Chris Paul Opens Up On The Pivot

“[My daughter] at the age now where at school kids talk crazy to her. She had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her was like, ‘Your daddy ain’t never gon’ win no championship.'”

Chris Paul on not winning an NBA title

— ClutchPoints (@ClutchPointsApp) June 7, 2023

Speaking on The Pivot, Paul talked about how his lack of an NBA ring is now affecting his family. “[My daughter] at the age now where at school kids talk crazy to her. She had a little boy at school that said some reckless stuff to her was like, ‘Your daddy ain’t never gon’ win no championship,” Paul said. For context, Paul’s daughter Camryn is 10 years old so that’s one hell of an emboldened classmate. However, it’s clear that Paul is deeply affected by his daughter becoming the target of his haters, just because he hasn’t won a ring.

This all comes at a time of uncertainty for Paul and the Suns. New franchise owner Mat Ishiba is firmly in a win-now mode, come hell or high water. It’s clear that 2023 was meant to be the championship year. The most notable evidence of this was swinging a massive trade for Kevin Durant. However, that championship did not materialize and now the Suns are in a tough position. At the time of writing, the most recent rumored, per ESPN‘s Tim McMahon, is that Paul will likely be staying on the Suns. This supersedes earlier rumors that Paul would likely be traded. However, while bullying is of course unacceptable, the best way for his daughter to get back at the shit-talking fifth-grader would be to flex a ring.

2Pac’s Father Admits He Was “Upset” Over “Dear Mama”

2Pac’s father, Billy Garland, says he was “upset” about being labeled a “coward” on the late rapper’s song “Dear Mama,” when it released back in 1995. Garland discussed the Me Against the World single during a recent interview on The Art of Dialogue. In the song, 2Pac raps, “No love for my daddy ’cause the coward wasn’t there,” before remarking that his father is dead.

“At first, I was upset ’cause I’m trying to see you,” he said. “But then it hit me! One, I ain’t dead and so you really didn’t know ’cause if you would’ve known me then you would’ve known that I wasn’t dead. So I knew there that someone had lied to him from that point.”

Garland continued: “And so later on when I found that out that someone did lie to him, that song made perfectly good sense. I understood it totally. When I hear it now, I laugh. I still love the fucking record. I love it, I do. I think it’s beautiful. I love all his music, though. I listen to his music daily — every freaking day, and I like it.”

He also reflected on his relationship with his son and how 2Pac’s fame prevented him from living a normal life. “I look in the videos and where he goes and I see him with the autographs, and I said, ‘That’s a different world,’” he said. “He could never be an individual that could relax in society, like he said he wanted to. He said, ‘Pops, I want to go home and watch TV but I know I can’t.’ He would tell me these things.”

2Pac’s Father On “Dear Mama”

Elsewhere in the interview, Garland criticized Hulu’s Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni & Tupac Shakur docuseries. He complained that Director Allen Hughes misled him during their interview. Garland also wasn’t happy with the implication that his son was bipolar, noting that it “broke my heart.”

Sexyy Red Announces New Project “Hood Hottest Princess” Ft. Nicki Minaj, Juicy J & More

Sexyy Red took the world by storm with her viral performance of “Pound Town” with BoxedIn. The organic success of the clip earned co-signs across the board from City Girls, Cardi B, and plenty of others. However, it was Nicki Minaj who officially took the song to the Billboard Hot 100 after jumping on the remix. The momentum is high for Sexyy Red and it appears that she’s only getting started. With a massive co-sign from Nicki, it seems like there’s no better time than now to unveil a new project.

This week, Sexyy Red hit the ‘Gram where she formally announced her upcoming EP, Hood Hottest Princess. The St. Louis-bred artist’s forthcoming body of work will undoubtedly set the tone for what could be a fruitful year for her. Hood Hottest Princess will arrive in its entirety on Friday, June 9th. We could imagine that Sexyy Red’s latest project will have the summer on lock, especially since she’s bringing some heavy-hitting features along with her.

Sexyy Red Hood Hottest Princess Drops Friday

Although the original version of “Pound Town” won’t appear on the tracklist, the Nicki Minaj and Tay Keith-assisted “Pound Town 2” will appear on the project – an impressive fear for anyone’s debut EP. Additionally, she’ll be bringing along Juicy J, who appears on “Strictly For The Strippers” and Sukihana, who featured on “Born By The River.” Hood Hottest Princess will also include “Female Gucci Mane,” which arrived back in April. The tracklist consists of 10 songs in total.

Following the debut of “Pound Town 2,” Nicki and Sexyy Red sat down for an Instagram Live where the Queen rapper provided some encouraging words. “This is only the f***ing beginning for her,” Nicki said. “This is what I told her: yo, people like you. People like what you have to say, they like your sound. So, make sure a whole bunch of people aren’t coming around trying to help you do this and help you do that. Because mothaf**kas really want to hear that raw sh*t, you know what I’m sayin’? And we missin’ it after a while in rap and we love discovering new people in rap and stuff like that.” Check out the cover art and tracklist for Sexyy Red’s Hood Hottest Princess above.

Jimmy Butler Moons Bam Adebayo During Press Conference

The Miami Heat tied up the NBA Finals on Sunday night with a 111-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo were both key contributors in the victory, both scoring 21 points. Their stat lines were mirror images, with Butler adding 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Meanwhile, Adebayo contributed 4 rebounds and 9 assists. Furthermore, Adebayo was the last scorer of the game, sinking two free throws to put the up five with 45 seconds to go.

The NBA Finals continue in Miami on June 7, with both sides looking to take that all-important lead. However, Miami’s clutch win isn’t the only thing people are talking about in regard to Game 2. Turns out there’s a little bit of behind-the-scenes footage from the post-game press conference that’s going viral. Furthermore, the video shows a fun side to Butler and Adebayo’s off-court friendship. The pair have been teammates since 2019 when Butler joined the Heat. Adebayo was drafted by Miami in 2017. Additionally, they have both won Olympic medals with Team USA, just not together. Butler won his in 2016 and Adebayo took home gold in 2020.

Jimmy fucking stupid lmao pic.twitter.com/hlCYVoGOR1

— we not ass anymore (@BlSCAYNEBUCKETS) June 6, 2023

The video, which appears to come from Butler’s Instagram and has since been widely shared, shows Butler backstage at the Game 2 press conference. Bam Adebayo can be seen on stage, addressing the media. Butler turns around and drops his pants before beginning to try and attract Adebayo’s attention. Someone can be heard trying to call Butler off but the Miami star persists. Adebayo finally notices, presumably getting a full view of Butler’s ass before returning to the press conference and asking a reporter to repeat their question.

It’s a fun and wholesome moment. but not wholly unexpected. Butler is a well-known prankster. Last month, it was reported that Butler had developed a love of country music from one notable prank. Attempting to prank his college teammates with Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take The Girl”, Butler ended up falling in love with the genre. Elsewhere, Butler’s infamous dreadlocks from preseason camp were also revealed to be a masterful troll from the NBA superstar. What do you think about Butler’s prank? Let us know in the comments.
