Coi Leray and Benzino do not have a perfect relationship. We can only go off of the things both of them have publicly stated. They have both said negative things about each other. Their relationship dynamics connect to the music but also goes beyond it. We have learned about their dynamic through social media and interviews. Each of them has regularly spoken about the other. Some would say Coi Leray speaking on him is what brought this generation’s attention to him. “That’s why I never mentioned his name coming into this industry cause he can’t get over his past and don’t even realize how much he damaging when he does this stuff.” tweeted Coi.

Around when Coi Leray dropped her debut album Trendsetter, Benzino had something to say. But, it wasn’t positive. “You worried about being called broke on the day of my debut album. You ain’t even text me congratulations, you so bitter and evil. Ima pray for you.” tweeted Coi. This was in reference to the fact Benzino apparently lost The Source when Coi was around nine years old. She stated her family was “broke” once this happened. Benzino had a different perspective.

Benzino Almost Ruined One of Coi Leray’s Biggest Songs to Date

Whenever an up-and-coming artist gets a feature from a seasoned one, it’s a big deal. It can connect generations. It can bring new ears to both parties involved. Coi Leray secured a Nicki Minaj feature for their song “Blick Blick”. Benzino almost ruined this. Benzino spoke about Nicki Minaj’s feature before Nicki herself and Coi did. “She got this song with Nicki Minaj that’s gonna be coming out that’s gonna be crazy.” he said in a room on the app Clubhouse.

Initially, Nicki denied she had a verse. Then, later, it was revealed she wanted to pull the verse from the song. “I just felt bad that she was robbed of telling the world in her own way @ her own time. But that’s water under the bridge now. Good vibes all 2022” said Nicki during a Q&A on Twitter. This is perhaps the biggest example of Benzino impacting Coi Leray’s music. He shared information that she did not want to be revealed yet. Fortunately, he did genuinely apologize for his mistake.

Coi Leray Has Sometimes Defended Benzino

Coi Leray and her Dad Benzino have multiple layers to their relationship. While it is not perfect they are still family. Coi knows his behavior not only affects her but others too. This is mainly other people in the music industry. Coi knows he can be difficult and wants people to understand that. In an interview with Vladtv from August 2020 she said “He’s crazy but he’s smart…he’s a business man…everybody’s not perfect.”

Being aware of how someone’s behavior affects others is a part of being in a relationship with them. Sometimes, a person’s behavior in the public eye is people’s only frame of reference for it. We don’t know what happens behind closed doors. “My dad is a great man,” “And I love him regardless of our differences, he’s still my father and I gotta respect him, right?” she said in an interview with The Breakfast Club. The public has mostly seen negative interactions between them but, of course, these are not the only interactions they have.

Coi Leray and Benzino Appear to Have Mended their Relationship

Coi Leray and Benzino are working on their relationship. Since 2022, we have not heard anything about it. This could mean things are being handled away from social media. For the time being, her Dad’s name is not in headlines with hers. Ironically, they were able to work on their relationship because of the situation with the Nicki Minaj feature.

Coi shared that Nicki’s advice helped her strengthen her perspective. “…You have to respect your father…‘Regardless of what you’re going through bro, that’s your dad.” Nicki told Coi. It appears she fully understood this and took it to heart. Growth is important and can truly be beneficial for multiple reasons. Moving forward, people hope Coi and Benzino continue to work on and have a healthy relationship.

Dave Grohl recently called into a homeless shelter in LA to cook for 500 people.

The Foo Fighters frontman spent 16 hours on the barbeque at the Hope of the Valley rescue mission cooking up ribs, pork butt and brisket, according to TMZ.

This gesture came as a result of major snow storms that were about to hit LA.

Hope of the Valley CEO Rowan Vansleve posted a video taken with Grohl, which you can watch below, as part of their mission between Las Vegas and Los Angeles focusing on homelessness.

In the clip, Grohl spoke of being “all in” in the mission while ‘My Hero’ played in the background. Vansleve also commented on the post: “In the middle of the storms this week. This is Dave Grohl cooking over 500 servings of the best barbecue for those living in our shelters. That’s class.”

Earlier today (February 28), Foo Fighters also announced a trio of US headline shows later this year.

The band were already scheduled for a run of summer festival appearances including Boston Calling, Sonic Temple, Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park, and Bonnaroo.

They will now play concerts in Gilford, New Hampshire (May 24), Rogers, Arkansas (June 14) and Pelham, Alabama (June 16).

Tickets are due to go on sale at 10am local time this Friday (March 3) – you’ll be able to purchase yours here.

Foo Fighters’ upcoming dates will mark the group’s first full gigs since the death of Taylor Hawkins last March. On New Year’s Eve 2022, Grohl and co. confirmed that they would be continuing without their late drummer.

It is not yet known who will be behind the kit at the forthcoming live shows.

Recently, Foo Fighters paid further tribute to Hawkins on what would have been his 51st birthday (February 17).

Ellie Goulding has confirmed that the release of her new album ‘Higher Than Heaven’ has been pushed back for a second time, citing “delays in sourcing” the materials for the physical records.

Back in October, Goulding announced her fifth studio album with the release of single ‘Let It Die’. That followed on from the release of ‘Easy Lover’ and Goulding’s collaborative single with Alok and Sigala, ‘All By Myself’.

The record was initially due to arrive on February 3, 2023 and was the follow up to her 2020 album, ‘Brightest Blue’. But Goulding delayed the release in January 2023, writing on Twitter: “To my incredible fans – I’m sorry to announce that we’re delaying the release of Higher Than Heaven to March 24.

“I know you’ve all been so patient with me but we’ve had some exciting opportunities appear behind the scenes which I cannot wait to share with you in due course.”

Goulding has now announced a further delay to April 7, writing on her social media: “Here we go again. Here are all the different versions of Higher Than Heaven available to order now from my official store (link in bio).

“As you know, making these products as green as possible is incredibly important to me so we’ve worked really hard to stick to that promise. As a result & due to delays in sourcing these products, we have to push back the release ever so slightly to April 7 just so we can get these beautiful products to you as soon as humanly possible. Thank you ever so much for your patience and I love you all.”

Speaking about the forthcoming project last year, Goulding explained: “There was definitely a darkness about [the past two years] that was palpable in the studio, with everyone having gone through it differently.

“I think for that reason, nobody wanted to sit and agonise over some relationship or some drama. So that’s how this album came together.”

According to a statement, the album will contain “stomping basslines, soaring synths and euphoric melodies”. It’ll feature contributions from the likes of Greg Kurstin, Jesse Shatkin (Charli XCX, Years & Years), Koz (Madonna, Dua Lipa) and Andrew Wells (Halsey, Yungblud).

Elsewhere, figures from the music industry previously spoke to NME about what’s really causing the delays in manufacturing vinyl and artists getting their albums made.

Josh Cohen, who runs the label Memorials of Distinction and manages artists including Porridge Radio and Caroline, said getting vinyl made has “always been a bit of palaver”. He added: “I’m worried about it and it’s insane. If you work in the independent music world, everything is very last-minute anyway. Trying to get stuff done six months ahead of time is a big ask, now it’s much more than that.

“As a manager, it’s been a huge source of stress. There are a weird number of factors coming together at once. There’s a weird bottleneck of albums being released after a delay because of coronavirus, and there were also a lot more albums made during the pandemic too because they couldn’t tour. Pretty much every artist in the world is releasing an album between September 2021 and September 2022.”
