Moneybagg Yo Had A Pet Tiger

A clip circulating the internet recently showcases a pet once owned by Moneybagg Yo. The rapper’s former pet may come as a surprise to some, as it’s not what one would typically expect. The clip features a white tiger, which Moneybagg Yo previously revealed he hasn’t seen in years, rolling around on the ground as a baby.

In an interview with BigBoyTV last month, Moneybagg Yo shared more about the unusual pet. He called the tiger a “stupid purchase,” revealing that he bought it in Houston when it was only a baby. The rapper said he had purchased the pet for around $15K alongside a monkey, which he later gifted to NBA YoungBoy. He explained that he only kept the pet for a couple of months before getting rid of it. The rapper says that he was on the go too much to properly care for it, and his entire team was “spooked” by the pet. Moneybagg Yo also shared that the tiger cost him a whopping $30,000 per month, just to feed it. The rapper explained that he purchased the pet more for excitement than to keep as a real pet. “I don’t even think I named it,” he revealed in the interview.

Moneybagg Yo is hot off the release of his new mixtape Hard To Love, which he dropped earlier this month. The mixtape includes several high-profile features from Lil Durk, Future, GloRilla, and more. He dropped the first Hard To Love single, “Ocean Spray,” in May.

The rapper also just recently announced his highly-anticipated upcoming tour. The summer 2023 “Larger Than Life” tour begins in August. Moneybagg Yo is scheduled to make over 20 stops across the U.S., with notable dates in Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland, and more. Kenyon Martin Jr. is the latest NBA player to be linked with a trade this offseason. As the start of free agency approaches, more and more news is emerging about the various plans of some of the league’s biggest stars. June 30 began with indications that a deal to send James Harden to the Clippers was in the works. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving has gone from one team interested in him to at least six. One of those teams is the Houston Rockets, who are now looking to potentially trade Martin.

Kenyon Martin Jr. played in 82 games this season, starting 49 of them. He averaged a per-game line of 12.5/5.5/1.5. That left him 6th on the Rockets in points per game and 4th in rebounds per game. Taken in the second round of the 2020 draft, Martin Jr. took some major leaps forward in his most recent season. It may be that massive improvement that has the Rockets seeing him as a valuable trade piece.

Per Kelly Iko of The Athletic, trade talks surrounding Martin Jr. has increased in recent days. “To be clear, Martin has not requested a trade since this time last season. But with Houston still seeking avenues to improve their financial flexibility heading into July, Martin’s combination of age, upside and salary makes him an attractive candidate on the market.” Furthermore, the Rockets drafted Villanova SF Cam Whitmore in the first round of the draft. Whitmore’s slide to #20 was one of the biggest surprises of the draft. However, the reality of the situation is that Martin would be battling for minutes with the highly-touted rookie.

With these pictures, fans were blown away by his weight loss, and each little hint as to his current state got them excited for a new album. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, he released a Gift & a Curse to commercial success and fan acclaim, just as he started to pop out more in public at events like NBA games. Still, the hype around the College Park MC follows him wherever he goes, and fans always want to know what he’s up to. Moreover, a new picture recently surfaced online of him shirtless at the beach, looking at the waves with a peaceful expression on his face.

A lot of ink spilled over Gunna’s next moves: whether he’d drop a new album, under which label it would be, and so on. Now that we have his new album as context, it’s pretty clear that the 30-year-old is here to stay. After all, he carried 15 tracks on his back with no features, and still ended up selling quite well in his first week. BET Awards And Tyler Perry Put On Blast By J-Dee

The BET Awards took place in Los Angeles over the past weekend and plenty of storylines emerged from the show. Now, Da Lench Mob rapper J-Dee has taken his thoughts about the show to Instagram. He was pretty upset with both Tyler Perry and the show itself for how it ignored many of rap’s west coast pioneers. The show sought to pay tribute to hip hop’s 50th anniversary with a major group performance. Included in the performance were artists like E-40, Warren G, Redman, and more. J-Dee clearly wasn’t happy with the lack of west coast representation.

That was far from the only storyline coming out of the BET Awards. The biggest one by far was a fight that went viral between Lil Uzi Vert and their partner JT. Though many thought it had something to do with Ice Spice, both parties have denied that. The pair also showed up together at Uzi’s own Pink Tape party a few days later to prove things were fine.

Some of the biggest performances of the night also stole the show. Latto delivered a performance so great it was literally knocking people over. Offset and Quavo also surprised everyone by reuniting to pay tribute to Takeoff, who passed away last year. Ice Spice herself also performed during the show. Despite all of the sneaker-related headlines of the last week, the most exciting had to do with the late, great Kobe Bryant.

Back in February, the Three Stripes unveiled a number of adidas Basketball silhouettes for the year. Although the lineup included a number of retro designs, it also included the adidas Crazy IIInfinity, a sneaker with cues from the brand’s THE KOBE series. New photos of the futuristic heritage-inspired shoe surfaced over the last seven days, creating excitement for the pair’s imminent debut. Away from the Three Stripes, the late Bryant also helped the Swoosh make headlines.

In a recent earnings call, Nike CEO John Donahoe mentioned that the brand would relaunch the Kobe line ahead of “Mamba Day,” August 24th. While no details about what exactly the relaunch includes have been disclosed, it’s likely the event will bring with it long-anticipated styles from the Nike Kobe series like the Kobe 8 Protro.

The Mavericks had not only the interest but also the financial ability to sign Irving. The maximum offer Dallas could offer was 5 years, $272.9 million.

However, a day later, it was reported that Irving would be meeting with the Phoenix Suns. While the Suns are incredibly cap-burdened, the appeal of joining a title-hunting superteam in Phoenix certainly has its appeals. Well, as the offseason continues to grow wilder, it’s now being reported that Irving will have at least six free-agency meetings around the league.

Irving will meet with the Mavericks as they try to retain the veteran they traded for in the middle of last season. Then there’s the aforementioned Suns, with their superteam plans. However, the other four options represent a wide range of playing experiences for Irving.
