Semi-Translucent Sole Units Land On This Stealthy Nike Air Max Terrascape 90

As a fairly novel proposition, the Nike Air Max Terrascape 90 has yet to prove itself as a long-standing part of the brand’s lineup of products.

Recently, the modified take on Tinker Hatfield’s 32-year-old design emerged in a stealthy, predominantly black ensemble. Reworked uppers don mesh, leather and other fabrics flirt with the outdoors, while pull tabs at the top of the tongue and spine deliver a utilitarian-inspired update ripe for the trails. The most notable changes to the beloved Air Max sneaker, however, arrives via the sole unit. Partly-recycled materials are given a semi-translucent, “Midnight Navy”-reminiscent and grey makeover, further expanding the 1990 creation’s design catalog.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 4 is set to release in a “Violet Ore” colorway courtesy of A Ma Maniére before the year ends.

Yeat’s “LYFË” EP Could Arrive Next Month Along With Two Lil Uzi Vert Features

Rising rapper Yeat delivered his 2 Alivë project earlier this year, and now, it seems as though he’s ready to return with more new music for the masses.

Earlier this weekend, the 22-year-old revealed via his Instagram Story that he’s almost done with his LYFË EP, also sharing at least a portion of the tracklist and pondering if he should deliver the unreleased tracks next month.

Fans were quick to acknowledge the presence of two Lil Uzi Vert features. Seeing as the duo previously teamed up on “Big Tonka” and “3G” from Yeat’s album earlier this year, new collaborations are warmly welcome from those listeners who have had the joint tracks in rotation since February.

Other famous artists who appeared on 2 Alivë include Gunna, Young Thug, Ken Car$on, SeptembersRich, and Lancey Foux. Upon its debut, the effort sold approximately 35K album-equivalent units in its first week and went on to debut at No. 6 on Billboard’s 200 chart.

From April to May, Yeat embarked on his 2 Alivë tour, kicking off in Detroit, Michigan and hitting cities like Denver, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and San Francisco before closing things out in Los Angeles at The Fonda.

An exact release date for the LYFË EP has yet to be unveiled, but if the “Money Twërk” artist stays true to his word, we’ll be spotlighting new arrivals from Yeat and Lil Uzi Vert in the coming weeks – stay tuned, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop news updates.

NBA Icon Bill Russell Has Died At 88

NBA star Bill Russell died on Sunday with his wife by his side. Russell was 88 years old, and a giant in the NBA as a player and the first Black coach in any US major league. He was an 11-time champion and 5-time MVP during his storied career, and was a valued basketball icon both on and off the court.

Russell’s family made the announcement on his Twitter account. “It is with a very heavy heart we would like to pass along to all of Bill’s friends, fans, & followers: Bill Russell, the most prolific winner in American sports history, passed away peacefully today at age 88, with his wife, Jeannine, by his side. Arrangements for his memorial service will be announced soon,” reads the statement.

The announcement continues by detailing some of the many accomplishments Russell achieved throughout his life: “Bill’s two state championships in high school offered a glimmer of the incomparable run of pure team accomplishment to come: twice an NCAA champion; captain of a gold-medal-winning US Olympic team; 11 times an NBA champion; and at the helm for two NBA championships as the first black head coach of any North American professional sports team.”

The statement continues: “Along the way, Bill earned a string of individual awards that stands unprecedented as it went unmentioned by him. In 2009, the award for the NBA Finals most valuable player was renamed after two- time Hall of Famer as the ‘Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award.’ Bill’s wife, Jeannine, and his many friends and family thank you for keeping Bill in your prayers. Perhaps you’ll relive one or two of the golden moments he gave us, or recall his trademark laugh as he delighted in explaining the real story behind how those moments unfolded. And we hope each of us can find a new way to act or speak up with Bill’s uncompromising, dignified and always constructive commitment to principle. That would be one last, and lasting, win for our beloved #6.”

As the tweet makes clear, Russell was a towering figure in the NBA, and had a tremendous impact on what the league has become today. He’ll certainly be missed.

JAE5 Collabs With Dave & BNXN On New Record “Propeller”

Jae5, born Jonathan Kweku Awote-Mensah, is a British-Ghanian record producer hailing from East London. Signed to Black Butter Records, the hit-maker is known for producing records with afrobeats that are sure to get stuck in anyone’s head. In his Spotify bio, it states, “With all the accolades under his belt, it’s not his turn to lead… summer is coming again and JAE5 is ready.”

Keeping true to that statement, JAE5 dropped “Propeller” on July 28. Featuring artists Dave and BNXN, the three-minute song consists of a beat that is not unexpected from the producer. It’s filled with drums and different melodies, making the artists’ voices echo as they deliver their bars.

The song starts with BNXN shouting out the man behind the beat– JAE5. From there, he executes the catchy hook, singing, “Been a long time since I learned to put rhymes together/Spin around your block/I’m a big propeller.” In Dave’s verse, he raps about a plethora of topics, ranging from not trusting women to being grateful for how far he’s come.

Aside from the record, the trio also got together to deliver a visual. The video shows African people in a village doing ordinary tasks like braiding their hair and washing clothes.

Stream the record and watch the video below.

Quotable Lyrics

I can’t deal with him
Cause he shakes with his left hand
Married to the hustle
The money my best man

The Rage Against The Machine guitarist took to Twitter to praise the youngster, who is a Brazilian-Congolese musician and producer whose cover videos on Instagram and YouTube help to showcase his skills.

Morello said of the clips that they were “some of the best guitar playing” he’s heard recently.

Morello said: “Well that’s some of the best guitar playing I’ve witnessed in quite some time,” he said, quote-tweeting a clip of Tshiswaka  playing some jazz over a backing track.

Morello has previously shown his support for ten-year-old drumming sensation Nandi Bushell who jammed with him and his son Roman.

Last year, Nandi shared a video of her playing drums alongside the pair. In the clip, Morello and his son can be seen playing guitar.

“Jamming with legendary #guitarist @tommorello (from @rageagainstthemachine / #audioslave) and his #incredible son, Roman,” wrote Nandi on Instagram.

“We have written an #Epic song together (not the one you hear in our sweet improvisational jam). Our new song is going to be released soon! I can’t wait for you all to hear it! Thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful family!”

In other Rage Against the Machine news, the band played ‘Born Of A Broken Man’ for the first time in 14 years at their show in Cleveland, Ohio last week.

The band were performing at the city’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse arena on Wednesday night (July 27) as part of their current ‘Public Service Announcement’ North American tour with Run The Jewels.

Towards the end of their 18-track set, Rage dusted off ‘Born Of A Broken Man’ from their third studio album ‘The Battle Of Los Angeles’ (1999). It marked the track’s first live outing since 2008, per Setlist.FM.

Earlier in the day, David Baddiel, Frank Skinner & The Lightning Seeds sent a good luck message to Lionesses as they prepare to take on Germany in the final.

The message read: “Football’s Coming Home! Good luck Sarina and The Lionesses!”

Yesterday, Baddiel and The Lightning Seeds gave a special performance of ‘Three Lions’ at Camden’s Electric Ballroom. They were joined on stage by singer-songwriter Chelcee Grimes and women’s players of the past to sing ‘Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home)’ ahead of the final.

While Skinner was unable to join the band for the performance yesterday, he sent a message to the team and said that he will be “cheering on from the sidelines”.

Skinner said: “The Lionesses are playing some of the most exciting football I’ve ever seen from an England team. I’m gutted not to be there on Saturday but I know David, Lightning Seeds and Chelcee, with those Lionesses who’ve pulled on the shirt in the past, will deliver a unique performance that celebrates their run to the final.”

Baddiel added: “It’s a great honour that ‘Football’s Coming Home’ remains such a fan favourite twenty five years on and it feels fitting that we reflect the amazing achievements of the Lionesses with a unique performance of the anthem at this very special National Lottery gig. And very happy to be part of a one-off performance…”

Fara Williams, Rachel Yankey and Faye White, who share more than 390 caps between them for England, were among those former players joining the band and Baddiel on stage.

Earlier in the day, Becky Hill, Stefflon Don and Ultra Naté performed at Wembley Stadium ahead of the final today.

Hill opened the performance before Stefflon Don joined Ultra Naté for a rendition of ‘You’re Free’, which Hill also appeared on towards the end.
