This Nike Air Max 95 Pairs A Greyscale Look With “Racer Blue” Accents

Still years away from its 30th anniversary, the Nike Air Max 95 has capitalized on 2021, launching in handfuls of non-original, but compelling styles.

For its latest proposition, Sergio Lozano’s iconic design has indulged in a greyscale arrangement complemented by vibrant blue accents. Mesh bases set the stage for the medley of suedes, with the layer closest to the midsole donning an off-white tone. Swaths in-between the mudguard and lace loops vary in shades of grey, with the one closest to the tongue being the darkest. Supporting details on the tongue and lateral heel deviate from their muted surroundings in an eye-catching “Racer Blue”-reminiscent hue. Underfoot, midsole foam and its accompanying Air Max units partake in a “colorless” look, while the tread opts for a black and blue combination.

No official Nike.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In any case, enjoy images of the pair ahead.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 1 Low is closing out 2021 in style.

Megan Thee Stallion Shows Off Her Bedazzled Graduation Cap: ‘2021 Finna Graduate College’

Megan Thee Stallion is almost done with her studies. On Monday, the rapper took to Twitter and told her followers that she has her special graduation cap ready to take her Texas State University grad photos.

“2021 finna graduate college,” the 26-year-old captioned photos of herself holding up her silver-rhinestone-encrusted graduation cap that says “real hot girl sh–” on the top. “Taking my grad pics today,” Megan added along with teary-eyed and heart-eyed emojis.

Megan’s Hotties flooded the comments section of her post with congratulatory messages, some of which saw people she met during her college journey extending their well-wishes. “Before I knew it was Meg. I use to help her transfer her credits to TSU every semester in the bell building!” a Twitter user wrote, which the rapper later retweeted to her feed. “Sis use to walk in saying ‘friend’ like that was the magic word, but it was ! She was just so positive & friendly, I had to help her. I’m so proud! You did it @theestallion.”

In a separate retweeted post, a user shared a video of her and Megan in a lecture hall after class and gave her a congratulatory message as well.  “Congratulations @theestallion the sweetest and most down to earth person you’d ever meet always at the front of the class ready to learn especially in Dr. Lawson’s class…another TSU HA grad we love to see it.”

In July, the “Thot Shit” rapper revealed that getting her degree in health care administration has been a journey for her. “My college experience has been a roller coaster!” she tweeted. “I started at PV went to some community colleges in between and I’m ending at TSU. Don’t get discouraged! You can chase your dreams and your education at the same time.”

Though Megan started to achieve acclaim for her rap talents while attending classes on campus, she revealed that she wanted to continue her studies to honor Holly Thomas, her mother who died in March 2019 after battling brain cancer. “I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,” she told People. “She saw me going to school before she passed.”

Megan also added that seeing her grandmother’s devotion to education inspired her as well. “My grandmother that’s still alive used to be a teacher, so she’s on my butt about finishing school,” the rapper added. “I’m doing it for me, but I’m also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.”

Muse’s Matt Bellamy launches new Manson guitar range

Muse‘s Matt Bellamy has launched a new Manson guitar range inspired by the first instrument he ever used made by the manufacturer.

READ MORE: Muse – ‘Simulation Theory’ review

Manson Guitar Works, the Devon-based guitar workshop which in 2019 Bellamy became a majority shareholder of after 20 years of them custom building his guitars, announced today (October 26) the release of the Manson DL-OR ‘Origin Re-issue’.

Calling the range “one of its most iconic instruments in the company’s history”, a description on Manson’s website said the new guitars are inspired by the aluminium clad guitar Bellamy played on tour following the release of Muse’s ‘Origin of Symmetry’.

“This production run version is the most closely replicated version of Bellamy’s first Manson Guitars instrument,” the description reads. “The original, which was used for Muse’s concert appearances from the launch of the ‘Origin Of Symmetry’ album onwards, was stripped and studied in detail at the Manson Guitar Works headquarters during the development and build programme of the DL-OR. Hence, the OR versions feature a fully clad aluminium body, just like the original instrument.”

You can see Bellamy brandishing the aluminium DL-OR guitar below:

The DL-OR is here https://t.co/igUMzrIjuP@Manson_Guitars pic.twitter.com/cOSJQ0AFqV

— Matt Bellamy (@MattBellamy) October 26, 2021

There are two on-board effects for both the guitar: a USA ZVEX Fuzz Factory and a vintage MXR Phase 90 reissue, were modified at Manson Guitar Works. The DL-OR Relic model takes its electronic authenticity one step further, featuring the very last of the ZVEX Fuzz Factories to be made to the same specifications as those found in the DL-1 DeLorean.

Finding the components to make this possible was a stroke of luck, as according to ZVEX, its tech Shoua Thao happened upon the right germanium transistors after a number of years. “We have the correct transistors to make perfect replicas,” ZVEX said in a statement (via Guitar.com). “Hand soldered by the same person, on the same breadboard used to build the original DeLorean circuit.”

Available to buy now, the guitars are priced at £9,999 (DL-OR) and £12,999 (DL-OR Relic), with shipping scheduled before the end of 2021. You can find more information on the Manson website.

In 2019, Bellamy gifted Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello with his own custom six-string after he joined them on their recent UK tour. He also gave musical prodigy Nandi Bushell one of his signature Manson MBM‑1 guitars earlier this year.

Last year, Bellamy made his custom Manson guitars more affordable for fans.

The Manson website previously listed their famed M-series model for sale between £1,199 to £1,619. But Bellamy looked at plans to reduce the price, with the Satin Black and Starlight Silver instruments later made available to purchase for £569.

Meanwhile, Bellamy recently confirmed that Muse have started work on their new album, with the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Simulation Theory‘ inspired by “chaos and protests”.

Speaking to NME, Bellamy revealed that the band were considering moving back to their hometown of Teignmouth in Devon to write their next record.

“I like the idea of totally resetting and going back to where we come from,” he said. “As in, physically moving back to our hometown and getting back to how we used to be at square one. We’re likely to get in the studio next year to make a new album of some kind and then tour after that, depending on the travel restrictions.”

The frontman also revealed that he has bought the guitar that Jeff Buckley played on his classic album ‘Grace‘, and intends to play it on the next Muse record.

Kasabian tease first new single since departure of Tom Meighan

Kasabian have teased a new single – you can check out the snippet below.

READ MORE: The S.L.P. – ‘The S.L.P.’ review

The as-yet-untitled song, which is due to arrive at midnight tonight (October 27), will mark the band’s first material since the departure of their former frontman Tom Meighan. You can pre-save it here.

Taking to social media this evening (October 26), Kasabian signalled the start of their next era by sharing a cryptic black-and-white video. The 15-second clip is soundtracked by a guitar-heavy, distorted instrumental.

“NEW MUSIC,” the group wrote as the caption, before revealing the song’s release date in a follow-up tweet. You can see the posts below.

Available from 00:00 27.10.21

— KasabianHQ (@KasabianHQ) October 26, 2021

Serge Pizzorno has taken over as frontman from Meighan, who left Kasabian after he was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend in 2020.

The band played their first show without Meighan this month as they began their 2021 UK tour, which wraps up at the O2 Academy Brixton in London next Tuesday (November 2). The Music‘s Rob Harvey has appeared at the shows as a touring member.

Meanwhile, Tom Meighan opened up about his mental health, experience in rehab and “consequence culture” in a blog post published in September.

The singer first discussed his assault conviction during an interview last year. He said he took “full responsibility” for the incident. Meighan is now working on his debut solo album and teased the song ‘Would You Mind’ earlier this month, telling fans that “music is my therapy”.

Kasabian are due to headline Neighbourhood Weekender and Isle Of Wight Festival next year. Their remaining 2021 UK tour dates are as follows:

OCTOBER 2021
27 – Leicester, De Montfort Hall
28 – Bournemouth, O2 Academy
30 – Southampton, O2 Guildhall
31 – Bristol, O2 Academy

NOVEMBER 2021
2 – London, O2 Academy Brixton

A 3D-Sketched Swooshes Appear On This Upcoming Nike Air Max 90

Despite debuting 31 years ago, the Nike Air Max 90 continues being one of the brand’s most popular propositions. For its latest ensemble, the sneaker has indulged in a predominant black and orange color combination complete with non-standard, sketch-like branding.

Mesh bases on the newly-surfaced pair proffer a greyscale makeup that complements the pitch-dark panels overlaid atop them. TPU detailing along the tongue and at the spine share in the black makeup, as do the surrounding synthetic leather panels, but mudguards deviate from a simple uniform look by donning a two-tone grid pattern. Seemingly a nod to the blueprint followed to make the iconic Air Max model, the protective component sits underneath “sketched” profile swooshes. The remainder of the sneaker follows a relatively standard design, although branding throughout and the visible Air unit opt for citrus flair.

No official Nike.com release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as 2022 inches closer. In the meantime, enjoy images of the Air Max 90 ahead.

For more swoosh-branded sneakers, check out the Air Jordan 1 Low.

South Korea’s thisisneverthat Brings “New Vintage” To Its First-Ever Converse Collaboration

Since 2010, thisisneverthat, has been delivering products under a design aesthetic dubbed “New Vintage.” Recently, the Seoul-base brand has brought its vision to the Converse Chuck 70 and One Star for its first collaboration with the North American institution.

Dipped in rather uniform color palettes, the propositions in the upcoming capsule deliver black and off-white styles given an old-school aesthetic via the suede on which they appear. The hairy material isn’t new to Converse‘s two iconic silhouette’s, by thisisneverthat’s take draws inspiration from the 1990s, and serves as an attempt at bringing yesteryear to the year 2021. In addition to the simple, but thoughtful arrangement that takes over the upper, the South Korean label has printed text and numbers on the midsoles’ lateral sides, a nod to both internal production details and its own in-house collections. License plates don co-branding from the two new collaborators, while outsoles boast an eye-catching, disparate green makeup that makes a statement of its own.

Continue ahead for campaign imagery of the collection (which includes apparel), and anticipate a Converse.com launch on November 4th.

Adele Blankets Global Charts With Combined 332 Million Worldwide Streams

She made it look easy.

Adele crowns the Oct. 30-dated Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. with lofty numbers, as “Easy on Me” drew 178.2 million streams and sold 136,300 downloads worldwide in its first full week, ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data.

Further down both charts, 10 additional Adele songs from among her previous albums 19, 21 and 25 (released in 2008, 2011 and 2015, respectively) surge. Combined, the 11 hits total 332 million streams and 152,000 downloads sold around the world in the tracking week.

The British singer-songwriter’s catalog stampede is led by 21’s “Someone Like You,” which blasts 91-33 on the Global 200 and 91-38 on the Global Excl. U.S. survey. In its 26th week on the latter chart and 16th on the former, it sports gains of 69% to 22.2 million streams and 76% to 2,300 sold worldwide.

“When We Were Young,” from 25, follows on the Global 200 at No. 37 (No. 41 on Global Excl. U.S.), while “Rolling in the Deep,” from 21, is Adele’s third-biggest song on Global Excl. U.S. at No. 39 (and No. 42 on the Global 200). “Young” soars by 96% to 20.7 million streams and “Deep” is up 60% to 20.6 million streams globally.

Here is a rundown of Adele’s hits on the Oct. 30-dated Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.

“Easy on Me” (No. 1 Global 200; No. 1 Global Excl. U.S.)

“Someone Like You” (No. 33; No. 38)

“When We Were Young” (No. 37; No. 41)

“Rolling in the Deep” (No. 42; No. 39)

“Love in the Dark” (No. 54; No. 58)

“Set Fire to the Rain” (No. 64 on both)

“Hello” (No. 71; No. 85)

“Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” (No. 79; No. 89)

“All I Ask (No. 110; No. 181)

“Chasing Pavements” (No. 113; No. 128)

“Make You Feel My Love” (No. 135; No. 142)

“Someone” first graced the global charts in October 2020, while “Deep” debuted this September. “Young” entered both rankings dated Oct. 23, when “Easy” bowed from its first five hours of activity in the week ending Oct. 14, and the other seven titles above all debut on the Oct. 30 rankings.

Adele’s older tracks range from the aforementioned 60% bump in global streams for “Deep” to a 107% jump for “All I Ask.” In sales, the gains span from 36% for “Hello” to 87% for “Ask.”

Like many of Adele’s chart accomplishments, her latest are unprecedented. In the first year of Billboard’s global charts, artists including Bad Bunny, BTS, Drake, Ariana Grande and others have blanketed the surveys with songs from new album releases. But aside from the odd song here or there, none of their new music spurred such a host of older material onto the charts, much less a double-digit hit parade all from the excitement of one new song.

Meanwhile, while Adele boasts the same number of songs on each chart, their overall performance is slightly stronger on the Global 200. “Easy” and “Set Fire to the Rain” have the same rank on both charts and “Deep” places three spots higher on the Global Excl. U.S. list, but her other eight global hits all fare better on the Global 200. In the most extreme case, “Ask” is 71 positions higher on the Global 200 than the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Of the 10 older songs on the charts, two are from 19 (“Chasing Pavements” and “Make You Feel My Love”); three are from 21 (“Someone,” “Deep” and “Rain”); and five are from 25 (“Young,” “Love in the Dark,” “Hello,” “Send My Love [To Your New Lover]” and “Ask”).

The haul includes many of Adele’s iconic singles, as well as deeper cuts. “Dark” and her cover of Bob Dylan’s “Feel” never hit the U.S.-based Billboard Hot 100 but make the global cut this week, with the former even outranking former Hot 100 No. 1s “Rain” and “Hello.”

The 117-37 leap on the Global 200 for “Young” stands out as the song charts higher than “Deep.” Not only was “Deep” a seven-week No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 2011, and the top song of that entire year, it finished in the top 10 of the chart’s decade-end ranking. “Young” hit No. 14 on the Hot 100 in 2016.

As anticipation builds for the Nov. 19 release of “Easy” parent album 30, it’s reasonable to expect more Adele on the global charts for the remainder of 2021.

Kelly Clarkson Leans Into The Weeknd’s ‘Dear Melancholy’ With ‘Call Out My Name’ Cover

Kelly Clarkson is embracing her sultry side for her newest Kellyoke cover. On the Monday (Oct. 25) episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer slowed things down for the audience and opened up the show with a stunning rendition of The Weeknd’s 2018 hit, “Call Out My Name.”

Instead of singing in The Weeknd’s signature falsetto tone, Clarkson scaled down the pitch for her vocal delivery and added her trademark vocal runs for stylistic effect. “We found each other/ I helped you out of a broken place/ You gave me comfort/ But falling for you was my mistake,” the singer belted with the assistance of her in-house backing band, before launching into the song’s emotive chorus.

“Call Out My Name” was the lead single from The Weeknd’s 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy,. The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and landed in the No. 4 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart following its release. The EP also enjoyed success on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts — it peaked in the No. 1 spot on both charts, where is stayed for 36 and 19 weeks respectively.

This isn’t the first time that Clarkson covered a song by The Weeknd on The Kelly Clarkson Show — in October 2019, the Hot 100 hitmaker delivered a jazzy cover of his Beauty Behind the Madness No. 1 “Can’t Feel My Face” for her show’s opener.

Watch Clarkson cover “Call Out My Name” on The Kelly Clarkson Show below, and watch The Kelly Clarkson Show on Peacock here.

BTS, LISA, ENHYPEN & Adele Highlight First Week of Hot Trending Songs Chart, Powered by Twitter

It was the first song to lead both the live 24-hour and seven-day Hot Trending Songs charts, powered by Twitter, so it’s only natural that it’s also the first to lead the ranking’s inaugural weekly version.

BTS’ “Permission to Dance,” released on HYBE/BigHit Music/Columbia Records, leads the first edition of the weekly Hot Trending Songs chart, powered by Twitter, with 1.1 million Twitter mentions in the tracking week (running Friday Oct. 15 through Thursday Oct. 21).

Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs charts, powered by Twitter and sponsored by Remy Martin, track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. A weekly, 20-position version of the chart – covering activity from Friday to Thursday of each week – will also post alongside Billboard’s other weekly charts on Billboard.com. The charts highlight buzz around new releases, award shows, festival moments, music nostalgia and more. Hot Trending Songs is unique in that it tracks what songs people are talking about, not necessarily what they’re listening to.

“Permission to Dance” already has an impressive history on Billboard’s charts. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts in July and led the live Hot Trending Songs charts upon their launch Friday (Oct. 22).

The song’s renewed popularity can be attributed to buzz for BTS’ Oct. 24 online performance of it, which the South Korean superstars announced on Twitter Oct. 17, resulting in a surge in social chatter.

Among other entries on the debut weekly Hot Trending Songs chart, BLACKPINK’s LISA places at Nos. 2 and 3 with “Money” and “Lalisa,” respectively. The former tallied 974,000 Twitter mentions in the tracking week, while the latter earned 871,000.

Coldplay and BTS’ former Hot 100 No. 1 “My Universe” follows at No. 4 on Hot Trending Songs (701,000) and ENHYPEN’s “Tamed-Dashed” ranks at No. 5 (691,000).

Plus, Adele’s new single “Easy on Me” places at No. 8 (325,000) on the weekly Hot Trending Songs chart as it crowns the Hot 100, Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. It marks her fifth Hot 100 No. 1 and first since “Hello” in 2015-16.

With four songs on the inaugural weekly Hot Trending Songs ranking, BTS has the most among all acts (“Permission to Dance,” “My Universe,” “Butter” at No. 7 and “Dynamite” at No. 12). ENHYPEN claims the second-most, with three (“Tamed-Dashed,” “Go Big or Go Home” at No. 16 and “Just a Little Bit” at No. 18).

Keep visiting Billboard.com to check out the constantly-evolving rankings, and check back Tuesdays for each weekly seven-day chart.

Posies Break Up In Wake of Sexual Assault Allegations Against Ken Stringfellow

[Warning: this story contains disturbing allegations of sexual violence.]

Long-running Seattle power pop band The Posies announced their breakup after 35 years this week in the wake of a series of sexual assault allegations against co-founder Ken Stringfellow. The claims came in a lengthy exposé published by Seattle NPR station KUOW on Monday (Oct. 25), which reported that two of its writers reviewed medical records and spoke to 20 people to verify the graphic stories of alleged abuse shared by three women.

According to the story, the allegations came to light when the three women met this summer and decided to share their accounts on the record. “They said they felt compelled to share in the hopes that others may recognize signs of abuse in their own relationships, and that slowly, as these stories are told, the scales tip more toward justice,” KUOW reported. Spokespeople for the Posies management and booking agencies had not returned requests for comment at press time; Stringfellow had also not returned requests for comment at press time.

“I left the Posies very quickly after hearing from [a friend quoted in the story who made allegations against Stringfellow] about what happened to her,” guitarist/vocalist and co-founder Jon Auer told KUOW about the conversations he had about the allegations that went on for nine hours. “What she described to me was super disturbing and it made my position immediately clear. I confronted Ken about it on a phone call on Aug. 4, 2021, and canceled our upcoming shows, and flat-out told him that I wouldn’t be working with him anymore.”

Drummer Frankie Siragusa also said he was leaving the band, telling KUOW that he split after learning about the allegations.

Singer/guitarist Stringfellow, 52 — who has also performed with R.E.M., the reformed Big Star, The Minus Five and White Flag — has “categorically” denied the allegations, while his bandmates said they believe the women. The story describes one of the women claiming that Stringfellow bit her and forcibly had sex with her in a men’s room at a hotel in San Francisco after she explicitly told him that she was on doctor’s orders to refrain from intercourse; Stringfellow told KUOW that the bathroom incident was consensual. A second woman, who was asleep upstairs at the time, said she was in an abusive relationship with Stringfellow that began in 2015.

The third woman, who said she was also a relationship with the multi-instrumentalist, claimed that Stringfellow bit her arm while she drove him back from a show and that she woke up one morning to Stringfellow having sex with her. The woman also claimed that their relationship became increasingly “more dramatic, abusive and destructive” and that he allegedly pressured her into having an abortion.

“I have never been into anything kinky, into anything rough,” Stringfellow told KUOW. “I experienced extreme violence firsthand as a teen. I’m sensitive to aggression, and it’s not something I can be around. I am not down with violence. I don’t want to hurt anyone, ever.” Seven other women interviewed for the piece reportedly said they’d been intimate with Stringfellow at some point since the 1990s and that he had not been abusive with them. Four of the women reported that he bit them, which they said was unwelcome, and that he had been controlling; the singer’s ex-wife, the Fastbacks’ Kim Warnick, was reportedly among those women.

In his e-mailed statement to KUOW, Stringfellow added, “I would never want to harm anyone with whom I have a relationship – sexual or otherwise. Consent has been the foundation of every sexual relationship I’ve had, and violence has never been a part of any of those relationships. It simply is not who I am as a person who respects women.”

In a statement written with his wife, Stringfellow said, “As a family, we view sexual assault as a very serious issue. As an ethically non-monogamous married couple, we are particularly attuned to the importance of consent and communication in relationships,” noting that over the years he had had “consensual and respectful sexual relationships with other women, including the women making the allegations.”

According to the report, Auer canceled plans to perform at a grand re-opening of the Seattle venue The Crocodile Café and said that a nearly finished Posies album has been indefinitely shelved.

Stories about sexual assault allegations can be traumatizing for survivors of sexual assault. If you or anyone you know needs support, you can reach out to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). The organization provides free, confidential support to sexual assault victims. Call RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) or visit the anti-sexual violence organization’s website for more information.

Whole Lotta Tok: Led Zeppelin Officially Join TikTok

Led Zeppelin officially dove into the viral video breach on Tuesday (Oct. 26) with the launch of the classic rock band’s official TikTok page. The band announced their presence with an eight-second snippet of the remastered version of their 1970 Led Zeppelin III track “Immigrant Song.”

By joining such peers as The Beatles — who made their TikTok bow earlier this month — the Robert Plant/Jimmy Page-led group opened up their catalog to the viral video service’s community by offering their graphics and artwork, as well as iconic live and studio recordings and other video content.

The “Stairway to Heaven” band’s full discography of 100-plus live and studio-recorded songs can now be used by TikTokers to make original videos, which means you can expect your little cousin to bust out some moves to such FM-radio staples as “Whole Lotta Love,” “Kashmir,” Good Times Bad Times” and “Black Dog” any minute now.

Zeppelin — which also included late drummer John Bonham and bassist John Paul Jones — took their time joining the digital music fray, famously holding out until offering their music on Apple’s iTunes in 2007. In addition to the “Immigrant” bit and the band’s logo, the hashtag #Rocktober accompanied Zep’s first TikTok post.

The first authorized documentary about the pioneering hard rock group that raged from their founding in 1968 to their dissolution in 1980 following Bonham’s death, Becoming Led Zeppelin, premiered at the Venice Film Festival in September.

The film contains never-before-seen footage of some of Zep’s early U.S and British shows, an audio interview Bonham gave to an Australian journalist before his 1980 death, and interviews with the three surviving members.

Check out the band’s first TikTok post below.

Interpol and David Lynch release 2011 collaboration as limited NFT series

Interpol have released their 2011 collaboration with David Lynch as an NFT.

READ MORE: WTF is an NFT?!

The New York band joined forces with the renowned Twin Peaks director for their 2011 Coachella performance, during which they combined Lynch’s I Touch A Red Button Man short film with their 2010 single ‘Lights’.

Fans can now own the unique piece of work, with a limited series of eight NFTs up for grabs through the new Lynch x Interpol website. The non-fungible tokens include “newly recorded versions of ‘Lights’ joining Lynch’s engrossing animations”.

“The new performances are stripped-down renditions featuring [Interpol lead guitarist] Daniel Kessler on piano,” explained frontman Paul Banks. “In fact, these more acoustic takes may be Interpol at their most poignant, digging deep to take each clip to new artistic heights.”

He continued: “In the spirit of fandom, we are glad to reveal that one of the eight NFTs will go to fans – for free.”

Participants are able to add their “personal creative touch” to the free version of the NFT via the new site’s 3D gallery. One contributor will take home the collaborative piece.

The Lynch x Interpol auctions are open from today (October 26) until November 9.

“What makes us so excited about this release is it memorializes the collaboration between David Lynch and Interpol,” added Jack Spallone, Head of Crypto & Product at HIFI Labs.

“Using Ethereum, these NFTs can live in eternity as artefacts of cinematic and musical history. Just as David Lynch’s career helped push the boundaries of film and even fiction, it is now extending into the permanent universe of blockchain.”

An official description reads: “Skipping ahead to present day, Interpol has taken inspiration from Lynch to reimagine sections of ‘Lights’, their song inspired by [I Touch A Red Button Man].

“Together, Lynch and Interpol are now memorializing their collaboration through a series of seven pieces that will live in the infinite digital realm forever.”

Back in September, Interpol revealed that they were working on a new album with producers Flood & Moulder in London.
