Just a few months removed from the conclusion of the Air Force 1’s 40th-anniversary celebration, The Swoosh is outfitting its various disparate cuts of the silhouette with premium embellishments as a part of its 40th anniversary branded collection. In tandem with its stacked Swoosh counterpart, the modernized cushioning elements found in the AF1 Mid React are now joining the fold.
Extended from its iconic Triple-White scheme, the forefoot of the model employs its typical smooth leather construction while the back half indulges in a technological makeover fit with TPU overlays, stitched accents and a React-housed midsole. Further premium elements are applied through the “Metallic Gold” ring eye stays and dubrae of the laces whereas the white-on-white aesthetic is interrupted by the heels black bootie construction and vertically ridged jewel Swoosh. As opposed to its typical placement on the ankle, the heel renders a securing strap accompanied by a golden buckle where the leather counter and “Yellow Ochre” treated insoles conclude the anniversary model.
