Since being sidelined by injury in late December, Paul George has watched his LA Clippers undergo a stretch of five wins and nine losses. His absence clearly hurts their chances at the postseason, especially considering the injury status of his teammate Kawhi Leonard, who unfortunately might not even see action for the rest of this season. Still, Nike is intending to follow its release schedule with the PG 6 signature, the sixth entry into Paul George’s well-received shoe line.

One of the strengths of the PG line has certainly been the cushion units. The PG 6 introduces an entirely new design as it appears to be kin to the ISPA/React family of lifestyle footwear, with a rubber translucent overlay molded into the React foam sole. Paul’s logo is enlarged and embedded into the outrigger portion of the bottoms, while his signature  appears on the tongue pull-tabs. The upper is a fairly straightforward package of light weight mesh materials, with added lockdown toward the base of the lacing. The refined toe-box is free of any superfluous design touches and opts for that clean toe look that would pop should a different color be added.

The Nike PG 6 was reported to be scheduled for a release on January 13th, but those release dates are currently postponed indefinitely. For now, enjoy a first look at the Bright Crimson colorway ahead and we’ll let you know when these arrive in stores.
