Having set the stage with their 2021 offerings, Jordan Brand is using 2022 to flesh out their concept of “twists,” generating more than a couple releases predicated entirely on past icons. Here, we’re seeing but another: an Air Jordan 1 that reverses the beloved “Chicago” scheme.
The signature “University Red” is only switched up partially. Alongside its appearances atop the counter, ankle flap, and tread, the color now also dresses the Swoosh as well as the toe instead of the surrounding panel. White neutrals, then, take over elsewhere, assuming its louder counterpart’s original positions, while the rest of the construction — i.e. laces, Wings logo, collar, lining — opt for a more familiar black treatment.
Enjoy a look at the mock-up here and expect more details and images to surface closer to the April 9th, 2022 release date.
In other news, a third Patta Nike Air Max 1 was just revealed.
