Grupo Firme & Maluma Hit Up a Ranch & Take Shots In ‘Cada Quien’ Video: Watch

Like most Grupo Firme music videos, their new one titled “Cada Quien” with Maluma is giving us major FOMO.

The supergroup dropped their latest song Tuesday (Dec. 7) and teamed up with the Colombian star, marking the first time the norteño/banda group collaborated with an urbano artist.

“Cada Quien” is an unapologetic track where each artist chants about living life on their own terms and sends a message to all of those people who like to criticize and judge others: “To each his or her own!”

In the music video, filmed in Medellín, Colombia and presented by Music VIP Entertainment, Maluma and Grupo Firme are seen in a ranch while they sing and take shots straight from the bottle.

Firme’s Jhonny Caz told Billboard about how the collab came about, and how they didn’t think twice about the opportunity.

“We got a video from Maluma saying hello and asking when we’d work together. I mean, how could we say no to Maluma. We were thrilled and started coordinating everything. It all came together in a matter of days,” he said.

“Yes, we are collaborating outside of our style. We also recorded songs with Reik and Río Roma, but I’m always scared to go into another genre,” the group’s frontman Eduin Caz added. “I’m scared of losing our core fan base. That’s why sometimes I go onstage wearing an urbano outfit with sneakers, and other times, I’m wearing boots and a tejana [cowboy hat] so I can make everyone happy and they don’t get caught off guard when we sing with an urban artist. We’ve been very careful with those types of collaborations, and I trust in Isael (Firme’s manager) that we’re doing the right thing.”

Cardi B Demands Security Let Black Women Into Miami Club In Viral Video

Cardi B hit up the club while in Miami after Art Basel wrapped, and she took a moment to speak up for a group of Black women who were allegedly not allowed into the club where she was scheduled to make an appearance on Sunday (Dec. 5).

In videos of the event — which since gone viral on social media — Cardi was spotted chatting with women outside of E11EVEN nightclub after the group told her the bouncers at the door were refusing Black women entry inside. The group of women said that the club was allowing white women to come inside and were purposely excluding Black women from entering the establishment. One of the women in the group claimed that her husband is a football player, and even she was not allowed inside though they had the means to purchase a table. Upon hearing the story, Cardi took matters into her own hands.

“Y’all gonna let the Black women in here,” Cardi was seen in the videos telling the club staff outside the venue. “Let the Black women in here… Security, let them in.”

After repeating the phrase to security a few more times, the staffers conceded and told Cardi that they would allow the Black women recording the video entry into the club after she entered. E11EVEN has not released a statement concerning the event; Billboard reached out for comment.

Cardi was recently appointed Playboy’s creative director in residence, and announced the news via Instagram last week. “Introducing the FIRST EVER Creative Director In Residence at the legendary @playboy, it’s ME!!!” she wrote. “Joining the @playboy family is a dream and I know y’all are going to love what we put together. I’m startin this party right as the Founding Creative Director and a founding member of CENTERFOLD the new creator-led platform from Playboy coming soon!!” she continued, adding, “We’re going to have soooooo much fun.”

FORTY PERECENT AGAINST RIGHTS Closes Out 2021 With A Grey Nike SB Blazer Low

According to Tetsu Nishiyama of WTAPS fame, an original artwork changed at least 40-percent no longer has its rights. Since 1993, the Japanese designer has been producing product using this notion via the aptly-named FORTY PERCENT AGAINST RIGHTS (FPAR) brand. Before the year closes out, the provocative label has brought flexed its creative muscles on a grey-colored Nike SB Blazer Low.

While not its first collaboration with Nike SB, FPAR’s latest swoosh-branded endeavor delivers a tamer proposition than October 2019’s Air Jordan 6-inspired Nike Dunk. High-quality suede covers most of the pair’s upper, with interruptions arriving at the lateral forefoot and profiles. “Cool Grey” and “Wolf Grey” tones divvy up the low-top sneaker, although panels across the sidewalls introduce eye-catching patterns and textures. The Japanese label’s abbreviation is embroidered onto the left shoe’s heel, while lace dubraes on the same shoe boast the four-letter diminutive, too. Right shoes feature complementary branding, which includes a “nike sb” logo that contrasts the inside-out label that appears on the top of the left shoe’s tongue. Lastly, skate-ready sole units underfoot round out the greyscale arrangement with a dark makeup.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate an overseas Nike SNKRS launch on December 20th; a stateside release may follow, but it’s highly unlikely.

For non-skateboarding propositions from the NIKE, Inc. empire, check out the Air Jordan 3.

First Look At The Nike Dunk Low “Court Purple”

Dozens of netizens have taken to social media to express concerns over the Nike Dunk Low‘s saturation of the market, but Peter Moore’s 36-year-old design continues to do what it pleases. Ahead of 2022, the low-top silhouette has surfaced in a “White/Court Purple” colorway likely to land in the first-half of the new year.

As with dozens of styles that’ve released since 1985, the upcoming sneakers indulge in a “colorless” base that allows for the tone that takes over the accompanying overlays to revel in the spotlight. Having previously appeared on the near-identical Air Jordan 1 Low, “Court Purple” leaves its mark across the pair’s upper, animating branding on the tongue label, as well as delivering style to the made-for-basketball outsole underfoot. According to unauthorized leaks of the shoes, the low-top Nike Dunk arrives with “White” laces, but collectors are sure to swap them out with a matching purple set. Either way, the latest two-tone option is sure to help the silhouette have a dominant 2022.

No official Nike SNKRS release date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change in the coming months. In the meantime, enjoy a first-look at the pair ahead.

Nick Cannon’s Infant Son Zen Has Died: ‘It Was a Malignant Tumor In His Head’

Nick Cannon announced on Tuesday (Dec. 7) that his youngest child, son Zen, died on Sunday. The artist shared the news on the Nick Cannon Show by introducing a photo of the infant, whom he shares with Alyssa Scott.

The actor and musician said that it had been an exciting summer, with Zen arriving on June 23. But not long after, he noticed that his little boy seemed to have a “sinus thing” as well as a “nice-sized head,” joking that he himself had a “Cabbage Patch Kid head.” Being a concerned father of seven, Cannon wanted to get his son checked out.

It turns out that Zen’s sinuses were fine, but instead, he had fluid buildup in his head. “We found it was a malignant tumor in his head,” an emotional Cannon revealed, noting that the little boy had to have a shunt put in to drain the fluid. “We were faithful and hopeful for that time. He was still playing with all his brothers and sisters. I embraced every moment.”

Cannon — who also shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, son Golden and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Belland, and twin boys Zion and Zillion with Abby de la Rosa — revealed that things took a turn for the worse around Thanksgiving. “The tumor began to grow a lot faster,” he tearfully explained. “This weekend I made a valiant effort to spend the most quality time with Zen. … We woke up on Sunday and I was like, ‘I feel like I want to go to the water, be close to the ocean.’ … Holding my son for the last time, it was a beautiful setting.”

The star assured viewers that despite his tremendous loss, he’ll be OK.

“[God] puts the most and heaviest weight on the shoulders of his strongest soldiers, so I’m here to show that I can fight through this,” he said. “I’m feeling it, I’m vulnerable, I’m open, but I’m going to make it through. This is a special show dedicated to my beautiful son Z.”

Lil Nas X Takes a Tumble to Avoid Onstage Wardrobe Malfunction

It was just not Lil Nas X‘s day on Sunday (Dec. 5) when he took the stage to headline a Florida music festival.

While performing at the Audacy Beach Festival in Fort Lauderdale, the “Industry Baby” singer fell backwards while trying to avoid a wardrobe malfunction in a metallic pink gladiator skirt. Thankfully, he managed to quickly recover, popping back up on his feet while simultaneously adjusting his askew bottom.

“Swipe to see me being the king of bussin my ass on stage,” he captioned a carousel of images and videos on Instagram capturing the moment. “The universe was determined to embarrass me yesterday lmao,” he insisted.

Fans also poked good-natured fun at the mishap, with one account dusting off an old tweet of the artist’s that read “Stop asking me why I’m wearing a skirt, i will never trust pants again” and captioning it, “Top 10 tweets that aged horribly.”

Two days prior, Lil Nas X also headlined HeartRadio’s 102.7 KIIS FM Jingle Ball 2021 in L.A. alongside BTS, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Black Eyed Peas. Thankfully during that performance he managed to stay upright without a single wardrobe issue.

Meanwhile, he’s currently up for five Grammy nominations at next month’s ceremony, including album of the year (for his debut LP Montero), song of the year and record of the year (both for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”), as well as best melodic rap performance (for “Industry Baby” featuring Jack Harlow) and best music video.

Check out Lil Nas X’s quick recovery below.

Official Images Of The adidas YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Beluga Reflective”

adidas YEEZY really hit their stride towards the latter half of the year, each month more release-packed than the last. And as they begin to close out 2021, the brand is bringing out one of their largest selections in a long while. Among the many standouts, the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Beluga Reflective” is certainly the most notable, appearing for the first time following the non-reflective version’s release in 2016.

In colorway, the pair follows the original very closely. The Primeknit, for starters, is ever-so-slightly speckled with orange accents, albeit ones so subtle they’re quickly drowned out by the dark shades of grey adjacent. At the side stripe, the warm tone is given an appropriate stage, dressing through the profile alongside the silhouette’s classic “SPLY-350” branding. And to up the fanfare, reflective threads are spread through the shoe, ending the year on a bright, festive note.

Enjoy an official look at the “Beluga Reflective” below. A release is expected to hit adidas.com/Yeezy as well as Yeezy Supply on December 18th.

In other news, official images of the Blue Union LA Nike Dunk Low were recently unveiled.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 1 “Bubble Gum”

This December, the Jumpman will have no shortage of Air Jordan 1s on offer. But before they close out the year with the “Patent Bred,” the brand will first deliver the “Bubble Gum” (AKA the “Atmosphere”) just days before Christmas.

While it may adopt the same color blocking as the “Bred Toe,” the pair does with it some new things. Pink is applied to the toe as well as the heel, polished to a shine as is typical of patent leather. The white mid-panel is far more matted in comparison, appearing just a bit more tumbled than the navy fixtures that build out the toe, eye stay, collar, and Swoosh. Nylon is then sandwiched between by way of the tongue, while the sole underfoot mirrors the palette’s lighter features. And further underfoot, the colorway lives up to its nickname as the left outsole displays a splotch reminiscent of gum.

For a closer look, be sure to check out the detailed imagery below. These are currently scheduled to release on December 22nd, though it’s possible we’ll see delays consider the recent supply shortages.

One thing is certain, though: the Cool Grey 11s are releasing this Saturday.

Jada Pinkett-Smith Returns as Niobe In ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ Trailer: Watch

Get ready to step into the Matrix one last time — on Monday (Dec. 7), HBO Max released the second official trailer for The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth and final chapter of the wildly popular science-fiction movie series, which sees Neo (Keanu Reeves) coming to terms with choices he made in The Matrix Reloaded.

“We can’t see it, but we’re all tapped inside these strange repeating loops. Billions of people just living out their lives, oblivious. But this is the moment for you to show us what is real,” characters can be heard saying as current memories and flashbacks of his love interest, Trinity, from the past three Matrix movies play.

As Neo grows increasingly doubtful of his surroundings, Morpheus — now played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II instead of Laurence Fishburne — says, “They taught you good, made you believe their world was all you deserved, but some part of you knew that was a lie. Some part of you remembered what was real.” Jada Pinkett-Smith returns as a much older version of Niobe and imparts some wisdom onto Neo. “It’s so easy to forget how much noise the Matrix pumps inside your head. Something else makes the same kind of noise — war,” she says.

The official synopsis of the film reads, “In this explosive final chapter of the Matrix trilogy, Neo, Morpheus and Trinity battle to defend Zion, the last real-world city, against the onslaught of the machines that have enslaved the human race. And, now as Neo learns more about his heroic powers — including the ability to see the codes of things and the people, he faces the consequences of the choice made in The Matrix Reloaded.”

Billie Eilish’s Name Is Among the Year’s Most Mispronounced Words

“Cheugy” is apparently a lot to chew on. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce have something in common — broadcasters butcher their names.

And virtually everyone is having trouble with “omicron.”

All four made it onto this year’s list of most mispronounced words as compiled by the U.S. Captioning Company, which captions and subtitles real-time events on TV and in courtrooms.

The list released Tuesday identifies the words that proved most challenging for newsreaders and people on television to pronounce this year.

The caption company said it surveyed its members to generate the list, which is now in its sixth year and was commissioned by Babbel, a language-learning platform with headquarters in Berlin and New York.

“Newscasters in the U.S. have struggled with 2021′s new words and names while reporting on key sporting events, viral internet trends and emerging celebrities,” said Esteban Touma, a standup comedian and teacher for Babbel Live.

“As a language teacher, it’s always interesting to see that some of these terms are usually new colloquialisms, or are rooted or borrowed from another language,” he said. “As a non-native speaker, I must confess it’s fun to see English speakers stumbling a bit for a change.”

Here’s how Touma breaks down the proper pronunciations for the most commonly misspoken words:

Cheugy (CHOO-gee): A trendy term popularized by Gen Z and used to mock an outdated and unfashionable aesthetic typically associated with millennials, such as “Live, Laugh, Love” signs.
Chipotle (chih-POHT-lay): The American fast food chain became the center of a viral trend this year challenging Baby Boomers to pronounce the name.
Dalgona (tal-goh-NAH): A Korean treat made with melted sugar and baking soda, popularized in Netflix’s “Squid Game.” (Touma notes that some speakers seem to produce a ”K” instead of the ”G” in the middle syllable.)
Dogecoin (DOHJ-coin): A divisive cryptocurrency that began somewhat ironically before being popularized by Elon Musk, causing its value to dramatically increase.
Eilish (EYE-lish): The singer Billie Eilish, whose album Happier Than Ever was released this year to critical acclaim and nominated for the Grammy Awards’ Album of the Year.
Ethereum (ih-THEE-ree-um): Another cryptocurrency that skyrocketed in value this year amid the decentralized-currency boom.
Ever Given (EV-er GIV-en): The name of the ship that blocked the Suez Canal in March, costing billions of dollars in lost trade. Many newscasters mistook the name of the ship as “Evergreen,” the name of the company that owns the vessel, which was printed on its hull.
Glasgow (GLAHZ-go): The host city of November’s United Nations Climate Conference was mispronounced by both President Joe Biden and former president Barack Obama.
Kelce (KELs): The Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce revealed on radio this year that his teammates and the media had been mispronouncing his name for years.
Omicron (AH-muh-kraan / OH-mee-kraan): A new variant of COVID-19 first identified in November, named in keeping with the World Health Organization’s system of identifying variants with Greek letters. (Touma notes it’s pronounced differently in the U.S. and the U.K.)
Shein (SHEE-in): The Chinese fast fashion company at the center of the “Shein haul” trend, in which participants record themselves trying on numerous different outfits from the company.
Stefanos Tsitsipas (STEH-fuh-nohs TSEE-tsee-pas): Currently ranked as the world’s No. 4 tennis player, the Greek athlete rose to international prominence when he lost to Novak Djokovic in the final of the French Open in June.
Yassify (YEAH-sih-fai): A popular trend in which multiple beauty filters are applied to well-known pictures or portraits for comic effect.
