Brittany Renner Congratulates PJ Washington & Alisah Chanel On Their Engagement

A new chapter is beginning for PJ Washington now that the Charlotte Hornets star has proposed to his girlfriend. We often associate Washington with his sports career or his ex, Brittany Renner, who is also the mother of his son. The couple reportedly met while Washington was a college basketball star and Renner was 26 years old, causing wide debates regarding age gaps in couples. Not long after they welcomed their child, Renner and Washington called it quits, causing him to go online and profess that she never really loved him.

The online beef has dissipated in recent years and Washington is now happily in love with Alisah Chanel. The NBA star proposed to his pregnant now-fiancée and she showed off her bling on Instagram.

“Soooooo…..this happened this morning,” she wrote in the caption. “Issa fiancée [ring emoji] WOW babe you did that [goat emoji] I LOVE YOU [blue heart emoji].” In the comments, Washington left a kissy-faced emoji, and Renner dropped off her congratulatory message, as well.

Renner recently went on a podcast where she refuted internet rumors that she was living the good life from $200K per month in child support from Washington. She stated that she receives $2,500 per month and lives a regular life when it comes to single parenthood.

Check out Alisah’s ring and Renner’s reaction below.

In March of this year Bauhaus returned with new single ‘Drink New Wine’, their first new music in 14 years.

Their latest track, ‘Drink New Wine’, was recorded during lockdown with the band sharing audio files without hearing what their other bandmates had recorded, utilising the Surrealist “exquisite corpse” method to compose the song.

The 2022 gigs featured a London show at Brixton Academy and followed a run of 2018 dates in which the group hit the road in the UK for a string of shows celebrating 40 years of Bauhaus.

Following their 1980 debut record ‘In The Flat Field’, Bauhaus released a further four studio albums: ‘Mask’ (1981), ‘The Sky’s Gone Out’ (1982), ‘Burning From The Inside’ (1983) and ‘Go Away White’ (2008).

‘Elvis’ actor Shonka Dukureh’s cause of death confirmed

The cause of death of Elvis actor Shonka Dukureh has been revealed.

The actor, who plays Big Mama Thornton in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis, died at the age of 44 last month.

Dukureh was found dead by police on July 21 in her home in Nashville after one of her two young children found her unresponsive and sought help from a neighbour, who called 911. According to police, there is no evidence of foul play.

It has since been revealed that Dukureh died of natural causes, a representative for the medical examiner’s office confirmed to the Los Angeles Times.

The official cause given was “hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease”, relating to high blood pressure and a build up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls.

The buildup causes arteries to narrow, blocking blood flow, leading to a blood clot.

Elvis director Baz Luhrmann’s biopic about Elvis Presley, which arrived in theatres in June, marked Dukureh’s first major film role.

She portrayed Thornton, who was the first artist to record ‘Hound Dog’, in 1952, having a hit with the song a few years before Presley did with his version.

“Shonka was just starting to find a larger audience for her tremendous talent, and I got to see her uplift whole crowds of people at Coachella and beyond,” Luhrmann wrote of Dukureh after her death, in a tribute for Time.

“A favourite word of Shonka’s, in daily use, was ‘blessings,’ and I, along with the entire Elvis cast, crew, and musical collaborators, feel truly blessed to have had time with her.”

The Nike Go Flyease Renders A “Rose Pink” Offering

Intended for the everyday life of the differently-abled, the Nike Go Flyease debuted to a tumultuous release last Summer with few colorways and an overwhelming amount of anticipation. For those that the silhouette was designed for specifically, the exponential increase in the vast collection of colorways over the past calendar year has been encouraging but the past few months have remained relatively sparse. Set to kick off the Fall 2022 schedule, the latest offering of the laceless model bears a dominant Hot Pink makeup.

The aforementioned luminous hue is applied in various shades throughout the entirety of the breathable mesh upper with “Rose Pink” accents dawning the midsole, weather-enforced overlays and inner lining while a lighter touch of neon graces the forefoot shroud, heel clip and sections of the outsole. Underfoot the medley of black, white and pink is centered along the textured tread as the pitch black shade is additionally applied to the heel counter finishing off the trio of flavors from the color palette.

For a close-up look at the Nike Go Flyease “Rose Pink” enjoy official images of the pair below while we anticipate a release date within the following weeks along with a retail price of $120.

The Grinch Aesthetic Continues To The Nike Blue Ribbon SB

While we’re still four months out from hanging lights, decorating the tree and unwrapping presents, the Christmas time inspiration fueling Nike SB recently can’t be overlooked. With official images of the overgrown aesthetic of the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Low “Grinch” dropping just the other day, the unpleasant nature of the character who stole Christmas is additionally being applied to the latest colorway of the Nike Blue Ribbon SB.

Announced this past Spring, the BRSB for short takes core pieces of its past heritage from the toothy frills of the Nike Cortez to the brand’s original name, Blue Ribbon Sports. The made-for-skate reconstructed silhouette flaunts a padded tongue and cupsole alongside a visible embedded cushioning system placed in the heel. A lime green shaggy suede dawns the forefoot and ribbed quarter overlay with a mini Swoosh while a slightly lighter hue takes hold of the synthetic construction and stitching of the latter half of the model for a titular offering. The established shade is continued in the exposed Air bag, inner lining and cracked leather back tab while the red tone of The Grinch’s Santa suit seldomly fills the side panels Swooshes. Underfoot an off-white herringbone outsole sits below a matching midsole in tandem with white laces for a highlighted appearance.

Enjoy official images of the latest Nike Blue Ribbon SB while we sit tight on further release details as they’re made available  by the brand.

For similarly branded SB footwear, the Nike Dunk Low is returning to college-friendly colors with a Miami Hurricanes colorway.
