The Jumpman is no stranger to experimenting with the Air Jordan 1 Mid, tweaking not only the silhouette’s colors and patterns but also its very construction. They’re continuing to play around with the formula with this newly-revealed pair, whose tongues are padded in a way not unlike that of Nike SB’s greatest.

Possibly influenced by the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green,” this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid seems more appropriate for the skate park than the hardwood, as it features extra padding through the tongue. The collar, too, appears to be further cushioned, adding extra support all around the ankle. As for the colorway itself, the pair gives no indication of these changes: aside from replacing its screen-printed Wings for a more pronounced emblem, the offering is a relatively standard riff on the “Bred,” with dual-layered, orange-on-red panels placed along the toe, Swoosh, and heel.

Enjoy a closer look at this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid ahead. Currently, no release date has been confirmed; for now, sit tight and await further updates.

In other news, official images of the Jordan Luka 1 Easter surfaced earlier this morning.
