Virgil Abloh left behind a plethora of Nike shoe designs before his untimely passing in November of 2021, promising his loyal following plenty of product for years to come. Of the many creations that were exhibited at the Virgil Abloh: The Codes c/o Architecture exhibit In Miami during Art Basel in Miami late last year, few caught our eye like this black patent leather pair inspired by an infamous Air Force 1 High “Sheed” PE from way back in 2001.

Recently shared photos by A$AP Bari aka @younglord on Instagram reveal fresh looks at the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Sheed” — the same pair that was on display months ago. It boasts a glossy piano black patent leather upper with the track-and-field inspired spiky rubber outsoles, Rasheed Wallace’s silhouette logo embroidered on the heel, and “RASHEED” typed out in Helvetica on the medial sides. As another layer of homage to the Air Force 1 “Sheed” PE is the jersey number of 30 on the ankle strap.

It seems likely that a retail release is coming soon, although no official dates have been shared. The “Pine Green” colorway of the Off-White Air Force 1 Mid is, however, scheduled to drop in late April. It also appears that the aforementioned Air Force 1 High “Sheed” PE will release at retail.
