Rapper Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke??” benefits from one of the year’s most impactful remixes as the track, now with credited features from G Herbo, Lil Durk and 21 Savage, debuts at No. 6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart (dated Oct. 23) thanks to a massive influx of streams.

With the arrival, Nardo Wick collects his first top 10 (and first appearance) on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. G Herbo also cracks the top tier and picks up his best showing on the list, outdoing the No. 19 best of “PTSD,” featuring Chance the Rapper, Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi Vert, in March 2020. 21 Savage, meanwhile, snags his 11th career top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Lil Durk secures his eighth, notably with all of them coming since August 2020.

Elsewhere, “Smoke” is detected on both the Hot Rap Songs chart (No. 4) and the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (No. 17). Both charts, along with Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, factor streaming, radio airplay and sales into their calculations.

“Smoke” is the breakout single for the Florida rapper, born Horace Walls III. It was originally released in January and found some success in its initial form, reaching No. 34 on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay in September.

The overhauled release, complete with a new music video with Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett in the director’s chair, sparked 18.4 million U.S. streams in the week ending Oct. 14, according to MRC Data, up 902% from the previous week’s sum of 1.8 million. The 18.4 million also easily eclipses the previous weekly high for “Smoke” since its release, a 2.4 million sum from the week of Aug. 13-19, likely aided by attention the rapper received following his reported arrest by U.S. Marshals on the final day of that tracking week for an alleged concealed weapons charge. (He reportedly remains in custody.)

The week’s streaming sum yields a No. 4 start on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart and a No. 6 entrance on the corresponding all-genre list.
