Drake returns to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Oct. 23) for a 36th total week on top, ruling as the biggest musical act in the U.S. thanks to the continued success of his latest LP, Certified Lover Boy.
The album rebounds to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a fourth week at the summit with 94,000 equivalent album units, according to MRC Data. It’s his third title to spend at least four weeks at No. 1, following 2016’s Views (13 weeks) and 2018’s Scorpion (five).
Drake places six albums on the Billboard 200, all of which contribute to his Artist 100 points total. After Certified Lover Boy, Scorpion ranks at No. 67, followed by Take Care (No. 88), Views (No. 105), Nothing Was the Same (No. 143) and More Life (No. 153).
Drake concurrently places seven songs on the latest Billboard Hot 100, the most among all acts, led by his former leader “Way 2 Sexy,” featuring Future and Young Thug, at No. 5.
Dating to the Artist 100’s launch in 2014, only Taylor Swift has spent more weeks at No. 1 (49) than Drake.
Among other Artist 100 chart moves, Don Toliver re-enters at No. 5, reaching the top 10 for the first time on the strength of his new LP Life of a DON, which debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (68,000 units), becoming his highest-charting album.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
