Kanye West Eviscerated For His Shoulder Pad Outfit

Overall, everyone knows at this point that Kanye West has a very peculiar taste when it comes to fashion. Although he is a designer, his outfits can be hard to enjoy. He is always wearing something unique, even if everyone else thinks it is dumb. For instance, he wore some shin pads the other day, which felt like an odd choice. However, he did it with confidence, and sometimes, that is all you really need. Either way, Kanye has no shame when it comes to his personal choices, and that extends to politics and music.

Recently, Kanye West and Bianca Censori were spotted again, this time on an ice cream date. If you have been following along, they are frequently out together. The couple seems to be quite happy, even despite recent comments made by Kim Kardashian. Once again, Kanye is under the microscope for his outfit on this date. As you can see in the tweet down below, Ye was wearing a black t-shirt and some black pants. All of this is normal. However, what is not normal are the shoulder pads he is wearing that make him look like a football player.

Kanye West With Some Questionable Taste

Overall, this is not a look that we have seen from Kanye West before. However, as one fan pointed out, this does look eerily close to his outfit from the infamous “I Love It” music video with Lil Pump. It is one of those fashion choices that really make you scratch your head. Perhaps a brand would be brave enough to try this out on the runway, but as an individual, it takes a lot of gumption to be seen like this in public. Although, we have certainly seen Kanye is worse states before.

Fans React

Subsequently, Kanye was heavily roasted for this new look. As you can see down below, some compared him to a character from Roblox. Meanwhile, there were some other comments that suggested how poor this outfit was. They are brutally honest comments, but that’s the internet for you. Let us know what you think of this fit, in the comments section below.

Royal Blood drop ‘Mountains At Midnight’ and tell us about new album ‘Back To The Water Below’

Royal Blood have returned with heavy new single ‘Mountains At Midnight’ and details of fourth album ‘Back To The Water Below’. Check them out below, along with our interview with frontman Mike Kerr.

READ MORE: Royal Blood on the cover: “Without sobriety, this album or this band wouldn’t exist. It was all quite scary”

Following on from their acclaimed third album ‘Typhoons’ from 2021, the Brighton rock duo of Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher will release the self-produced ‘Back To The Water Below’ on September 8 – with the first taster arriving in the form of the pummelling back-to-basics single ‘Mountains At Midnight’.

“It’s always about getting people’s attention, and songs of this nature seem to be rare,” Kerr told NME. “It sounds so much like us and what we’re known for. As a reintroduction to us, it felt like a bold way to come back and say, ‘Hi!’”

Asked about the lyrics of the song, Kerr said that he was reticent to reveal too much having unloaded so much about his personal struggles and journey to sobriety on ‘Typhoons’.

“I promised myself that I wouldn’t delve too much into lyric meanings on this one – only because I spent so much of the last album dissecting the songs to the point where there was nothing left worth listening to anymore,” he said. “What I will say is that there is a lyrical theme between the songs. It may not bring all of them together, but it is coming from a distressing place, mentally. I just don’t want to destroy it before it’s begun.

“I’ve spent so much time and effort on the lyrics and making sure I mean every fucking line, then I waltz out to explain them and I’m just gonna piss off Ben, so he’ll be like, ‘Oh, you’ve made them sound rubbish’.”

While the last record was produced with a little help from Paul Epworth (Adele, Florence + The Machine, U2) and Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme, this time the two life-long friends made the album themselves at their home studio in Brighton.

“Ben and I know each other so well, and this record was about being honest with each other,” Kerr told NME. “Self-producing it forced us to do things that came naturally to us. Sometimes having a producer, although with good intentions, pushes you to go to territories you wouldn’t normally go to. Obviously that can really serve for progression, but for us it’s also about doing something that is inherently what you would do.

“Whenever we do something really honest, it’s musically very powerful. That usually requires not thinking about it too much.”

The album was also made with two pieces of advice learned from Jack White and Rick Rubin about listening to their gut.

“Jack White once said that it took him 30 years to figure out that the first thing he plays in the studio is the thing,” said Kerr. “Deep down, I think that’s something I knew, but I really respected it this time around. We honoured our instincts and the first thing we played. Sometimes you play something from a really pure place and you spend months overthinking and wrecking it, or you eventually circle straight back to where you began. Not having a producer allowed us to be a little more forthright and bold.

Kerr continued: “I met him very briefly about five years ago. He’s obviously an amazing character, and he said to me, ‘Royal Blood is whatever you invent and do together musically – the context doesn’t matter’. It’s just about the chemistry between us, not the instruments we play. When I think about it like that, it becomes something much more profound. At this stage it would be easier to think that we’ve been confined by what’s made us successful and there’s a rulebook that we have to adhere to. If we step outside of that, we’re disobeying what people like about us.”

“As long as there’s a connection between Ben and I, the genre and the instruments we play are almost irrelevant. It’s about how we interact and how we make songs together. If we lose that, we’ve lost everything. It allowed us some creative freedom – which is how we felt on this record. We could take left turns.”

Alongside ‘Mountains At Midnight’, the album also travels some wide sonic terrain for Royal Blood – including the dance-tinged ‘Shine In The Dark’ and the sleazy but full-bodied glam-rock of ‘Pull Me Through’.

“It feels like the songwriting is doing the heavy lifting and the songs are in charge,” he said. “Before it felt like our riffs were holding the songs up. With the songs on this record, they’ve been road-tested on every other record.

“You have to follow where the songs want to go and where they need to be. A lot of the songs on this record went off into very different places. I wouldn’t have been able to pull that off before.”

Asked about the over-arching character of ‘Back To The Water Below’, Kerr replied: “That’s so hard to answer because it has so many personalities. I couldn’t put it as one thing. It feels like the first album where you really go on a journey with us. There’s a real narrative to it.”

Speaking to NME ahead of the release of ‘Typhoons’, Kerr said that “a record should make you a better person at the end of it, or at least that it could”. Having since completed a full album cycle and tour while completely sober, the frontman explained his current mindset.

“We got to go on tour and that process of going back out on the road was what really brought us back to life,” he said. “The mantra for the band has always been that playing live is the reason we exist. It’s about the thrill of playing in front of people. We’re in rehearsal at the minute, and there are some songs that just don’t make sense without an audience. We really feed off that energy. It was beginning to remind and inform us of where to go next.”

And what’s it like to do it all while totally sober?

“It’s like doing it in HD,” he replied. “I came off the back of that tour not physically and mentally destroyed. I left that tour feeling like it was a sustainable thing that I can do now. I knew I was in it for the long game now, which was a really good feeling. Before, I really questioned how much longer I could do this. Touring is tough on the mind and body as it is.”

Credit: Jennifer McCord for NME

Meanwhile, the band are also gearing up for a busy summer of touring – including support slots with their heroes Muse.

“It doesn’t seem real to me,” said Kerr of the shows with the Devonshire space rock trio. “It’ll probably hit me when we arrive at that first stadium. I have to acknowledge how amazing it is, because both us grew up with those early Muse records ultimately teaching us how to play our instruments.

“They were the musical standard. They’ve always been so proficient and consistent. It’s amazing to tune into that frequency and be part of it.”

Among the summer dates, Kerr said that he was also looking forward to a “terrifying” slot at Glastonbury, where they’ll be performing at the festival for the third time.”

“As much as I would like to convince myself that it’s just another gig, you know it’s important and there’s a strange paradox where if you brush off that it doesn’t matter then you do a better job,” he said. “The energy that you get from the crowd at Glastonbury is really unparalleled. There’s something really profound about it that’s hard to define. There’s such a sense of belonging.”

“Sometimes at festivals you can feel like you have to walk out and prove yourself, but at Glastonbury it’s like they’re already on your side and rooting for you because they want to have a good time.”

A Summer-Ready Lilac Floods The GS Nike Air More Uptempo

Celebrating its 25th anniversary just two years ago, the Nike Air More Uptempo remains an integral part of The Swooshes’ transition from on-court staples of the past to timeless lifestyle constructions.

Recently, the Scottie Pippen-endorsed silhouette revealed its latest grade school effort for the summer. Constructing a simplistic two-toned color blocking, the silhouette remains entrenched in its efforts to amplify the already enlarged graffiti-style lettering. Filling its heavily perforated leather base layer with crisp white colorless shades, the pair’s remaining real estate looks to an onslaught of pastel-infused lilacs. Courting everything from its laces and elastic straps to the heel’s jewel Swoosh and non-marking tread underfoot, even the cushioning system’s semi-translucent Air bubble joins in on the titular injection.

As we await the pair’s release date, in the meantime enjoy official images of the grade school-exclusive Nike Air More Uptempo “White/Lilac” below.

This Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black/White” Features Vibrant Blue Branding

It’s no secret that the Nike Air Force 1 Low has been crucial to the brand’s success over the last 40 years. As the model celebrates its milestone anniversary, it continues to appear in refreshing looks.

Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design from 1983 (the original high-top launched in 1982) emerged in a straightforward, but cool black and white color scheme. The bulk of the upper indulges in the former tone, while profile swooshes and branding on the spine deviate in the latter color. Labels on the tongue and non-standard tabs on the lateral swoosh introduce blue flair into the mix, animating the otherwise simple Air Force 1. Underfoot, the oft-imitated sole unit keeps things understated, opting for a clean white and black arrangement that complements the upper.

Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch before autumn.

First Look At The Nike Air Ship SP “Tech Grey”

As the Air Ship continues to navigate the shaky waters of the current sneaker scene, Nike continues to deploy new shipments of colorways to further tell the tale of this once-obscure sneaker.

Next up is the “Tech Grey” colorway, seen here with a simple white upper and grey suede fixated on the ankle collar and the Swoosh. A darker grey shade floods the outsole, interior lining, and tongue label for a simple execution akin to the earlier crop of Air Ship releases, but unlike the previous suede-upholstered Air Ship “Every Game” drops, these feature the standard Nike Air on heel.

Currently, a release date is scheduled for June 7th, 2023 in EU/UK regions with an MSRP of $150. A US release date has not yet been confirmed.

In related news, the Air Jordan 1 “Washed Black” arrives on June 8th.

Pusha T Delivered An Instant Classic With “Come Back Baby”

Pusha T is one of the best rappers alive right now. Overall, he is someone who certainly has a ton of influence. Moreover, he has classic albums as well as some iconic songs. However, it felt like his magnum opus truly came back in 2018 thanks to the GOOD Music summer releases. On May 25th, five years ago to the day, King Push dropped Daytona. This is one of five albums that were entirely produced by Kanye West. Ultimate, Daytona was the first of these releases, and what a way to start off.

There were only seven tracks on this album. Although that is all that was really needed. Pusha T delivered a plethora of fantastic performances all across this project. Of course, he also helped start an iconic run of diss tracks with Drake. That said, there are a few songs here that will always be memorable for fans. One of those songs is “Come Back Baby,” which can be listened to down below.

Pusha T Was In His Bag

Throughout this track we get amazing samples, a steady flow, and some very clever bars. Pusha T sounds incredibly confident on this track, as he does on all of his songs. However, there was just something special about “Come Back Baby” that you could discern right away. To this day, it remains a true favorite of ours.

Pusha T dropped another album last year and it received a whole lot of praise. Although it may not have had the same hype as Daytona, it was still recognized as yet another amazing body of work. Push is a legend and at this point, he can truly do no wrong. Hopefully, he blesses us with another project, very soon. Let us know what you think of “Come Back Baby,” in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.

We buy big boats, bitch, I’m Sinbad

Lil Durk Details His Mourning Process

Lil Durk may be an incredibly successful and praised MC, but that status came after years of hardship, struggle, and grief. Moreover, he recently sat down to reflect on that process in an interview with DJ Akademiks on his Off The Record podcast. Of course, that conversation broached a lot of topics, including Gunna’s plea deal, Kanye West producing his next album Almost Healed before he scrapped the idea, and much more. However, this part of their talk ended up resonating with many who either struggle with grief themselves or understand the dark subject matter he conveys in his music. Regardless, the Chicago rapper detailed his mourning process and how he doesn’t want to burden others with it.

“Everybody mourns,” Lil Durk began, responding to Ak remarking how he never shows emotions and questioning whether he mourns. “Everybody shows emotions. But I just can’t see myself just doing this.” Then, Smurk grabbed his phone and acted as if he was recording himself crying and going through a rough time. “‘Damn man, this s**t crazy, man.’ It’s like, nah.

Lil Durk Reflects On Processing Grief

“When I started getting more into my religion, and just like, talked to my pops while he was locked up, talked to my uncle and them,” Lil Durk continued. “They’re like ‘Man, we had the money, the fame andd the cars, we had the city on lock, and we went to jail and got life. What you’re going through, we’ve been through. When you call, call and get to your pops, call and get to your unc. Let’s talk, let’s have a conversation. But I don’t want to hear no crying. I don’t want to hear no complaining, I don’t want to hear no ‘I can’t do this, I can’t do that.”

“I’m telling you, like, that rug is powerful,” The Voice went on. “I lay the rug down, I pray- I cry on the rug, I cry while I’m praying, I cry during Ramadan. But guess what? India ain’t ever seen me cry. My daddy ain’t ever seen me cry. My momma ain’t ever seen me cry, you know what I’m saying? ‘Cause it’s only one person that can help the hurt, you know what I mean?” For more news and the latest updates on Lil Durk, stay posted on HNHH.

PlayStation Showcase 2023 Recap: Mind-Blowing “Spider-Man 2” Gameplay & More

PlayStation Showcase 2023 is an event from the gaming giant that players all over the world anticipated. On May 24th, 2023, it aired in its entirety, addressing the rumors, leaks, and speculations that ran rampant before the big reveal. Typically, these showcases intend to provide gamers with a glimpse into the biggest projects. However, smaller indie games also get some shine which is equally important and often offers more niche yet enjoyable experiences for players. The showcase was simulcast across PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels ensuring gamers from all time zones could watch it live.

Thousands Tuned in for PlayStation Showcase 2023

PlayStation Showcase 2023 started streaming at 3:15 p.m. ET. The Showcase itself began at 4:00 p.m. There were already over 50,000 viewers watching 45 minutes before the show began. As 4:00 p.m. got closer, the viewer count only rose higher. By 3:50 p.m. over 180,000 people were watching. This number only included YouTube viewers. It also streamed on their official Twitch channel, content creator channels, other gaming platforms, and other countries too. Saying this event was a “big deal” would be an understatement.

Mixed Reactions To PlayStation Showcase 2023

PlayStation needs to hold a second showcase in 2023 and the focus needs to be on their first party studios. It could be 20 minutes for all I care, but it’s necessary in my opinion. pic.twitter.com/iCxNcUzfjs

— MBG (@xMBGx) May 25, 2023

PlayStation Showcase 2023 featured trailers for over 30 games. Those who had predictions found themselves satisfied as well as disappointed. The latter comes in the latest entries in the Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy series. However, the most anticipated reveal was Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which showcased gameplay for the first time. Unfortunately, there was nothing revealed about a sequel to the universally celebrated Ghost Of Tsushima or Marvel’s Wolverine. Many viewers were disappointed that time was given to showcase Street Fighter 6 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage since so much information about the latter has already been revealed. The most surprising announcement came from something called “Project Q” which allows players to play PS5 games on-the-go. Next, there was a reveal of wireless earbuds from PlayStation that would pair well with the portable gaming device.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: The Star Of PlayStation Showcase 2023

The biggest highlight of PlayStation Showcase 2023 was the gameplay reveal for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Many players tuned in for this game specifically, which features both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Players were pleased to know that switching between the two characters could be done with the press of a button. Players who are anticipating the release of the movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse know this version of Peter will be in the movie. Considering the multiverse concept, maybe the game version of Miles will be in the movie, too.

Sony is Going All-In with Spider-Man Content

PlayStation Showcase 2023 reaffirmed the popularity of one of the company’s most celebrated game series, Marvel’s Spider-Man. The second game in their series, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, features songs from Jaden Smith. The first, a solo cut titled “I’m Ready” and the other is a collaborative song with Kid Cudi titled “On My Own.” Several songs from the game’s score, composed by John Paesano, pair hip-hop’s percussion with eloquent orchestral sounds. With Metro Boomin executive producing the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, it sounds like the creators are doing right by Miles by translating his authenticity beyond the screen. We’ll have to see how it all pans out when the movie comes out when the game comes out in the fall. What games from PlayStation Showcase 2023 are you looking forward to most? Let us know in the comments section.
