Jermaine Dupri’s vegan ice cream is kid-approved.

The famed producer released his own line of vegan ice cream late last year, and he just received a glowing endorsement from none other than Mariah Carey‘s 10-year-old daughter, Monroe “Roe” Cannon.

The review was delivered in a text message from Carey, which Dupri shared via Twitter on Friday (Jan. 28). “I just got a message from @mariahcarey that her daughter loves #jdsvegan,” the Grammy-winning producer wrote.

Roe specifically requested the Welcome to Atlanta Peach Cobbler ice cream, one of the brand’s most popular flavors. “So good!” Carey wrote to Dupri.

Dupri teamed with Big Innovations Group Inc. to debut JD’s Vegan ice cream last November. The ice cream launched with three flavors: Welcome to Atlanta Peach Cobbler, Apple Butter and Strawberry Sweetheart. Since then, the line has grown to include Key Lime Pie, Chocolate My Way and (404) Cookies and Cream. JD’s Vegan Ice Cream is available exclusively in Walmart stores and online. You can also have the ice cream delivered (while supplies last). JD’s Vegan ice cream retails for around $5-$6.50 a pint and $30 for a four-pack of pint-size cartons.

“Walmart and I share the same vision of providing consumers with the best products and making healthy alternatives accessible to everyone,” Dupri said at the time of launch. “JD’s Vegan ice creams taste as good as, or better than, the real thing. You don’t have to lose anything going vegan. JD’s Vegan ice cream proves you can gain nothing but quality foods with out-of-this-world flavor and taste.”

Dupri has been a vegan for more than a decade. His all-natural, dairy-free frozen desserts are inspired by the flavors of Atlanta and feature coconut as the main ingredient. The endlessly smooth, nutty and mild, coconut cream mimics the milky full-bodied consistency found in dairy ice cream.
