Dwyane Wade called out his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches, for objecting to their daughter’s name change. Funches claimed her ex-husband violated their custody agreement when he allowed their 15-year-old daughter, Zaya, to legally change her name.
Funches tried to argue that Wade was attempting to “capitalize” on related financial opportunities with the name change.

Wade responded to her ex-wife’s arguments in a court filing on Monday.
“This petition is about allowing Zaya to take on the milestones of being a young adult with confidence and joy,” the document reads.
“While it certainly would have been preferable for Zaya’s mother to be supportive of this important part of Zaya’s journey, Zaya should not be forced to put her life on hold while she waits for Siohvaughn to acknowledge and accept her truth,” Wade’s statement continues.
Wade and Funches married back in 2002 but split up in 2007. They finally divorced in 2010 after a lengthy legal battle. The court granted Wade sole custody of both of their kids.
Zaya first came out back in 2020. Wade and his current wife, Gabrielle Union, have been supportive in the two years since.
They described themselves as “proud parents” during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at the time. Zaya has described coming out as “euphoric” and “freeing.”
“There are genuinely people out there who think that you’re a kid, this is a phase or you don’t actually know what you’re talking about,” Zaya said in a clip from the Logo30 series. “I know that I’m trans, and it’s not like one day I just went, ‘I want to try out being trans.’ No. So just suck it up. We are who we are.”

If you are a basketball fan, then you have most certainly heard of Shams Charania. He is the man who is competing with Woj to become the fastest reporter in basketball. If there is any sort of breaking news, you can be sure that Shams will report it.
Interestingly enough, fans thought they had found Shams’ burner account last week. In a screenshot that made its way to Twitter, it seemed like the account Hoop Central was actually being run by Charania. However, it was eventually revealed that the screenshot was fake. This is where Shams immediately cleared the air, noting that he simply does not have time to run a burner account. However, he is flattered for the outpouring of love.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is plotting out the next move for Donda Academy. According to TMZ, the multi-hyphenate is looking to relocate his school to a church in Southern California.
Pastor Ronald Nagin of Cornerstone Christian Church revealed that he’s had three sit-down meetings with Ye in the last month. The hip-hop star is reportedly fond of the space, revealing his interest in leasing a portion of the Northridge, CA church for Donda Academy.

Donda Academy was previously located in Chatsworth following its operations in Simi Valley. Ye reportedly feels like Cornerstone Christian Church is a drastic improvement from previous locations. For one, it’s a larger space. Secondly, there are multiple classrooms and a sanctuary that could accommodate Donda Academy.
At this point, Ye hasn’t confirmed whether he’ll be using the space but things appear to be moving in that direction. Lawyers for Cornerstone Christian Church are reportedly drafting up a lease for the Yeezy founder.
Nagin explained that the interest in Ye bringing Donda Academy to the church is mutual. He said that the school’s effort to provide a solid education in a Christian environment aligns with Cornerstone’s values, as well. They previously allowed other schools to operate in their church.
Though Ye might have a new space for Donda Academy, he certainly has a few other headaches that he’ll have to deal with. The school shut down just as the school year began due to the string of controversies he’s been involved with. It reopened a few days later.
However, Nagin explained that Ye’s anti-Semitic remarks haven’t hindered their plans. He called Ye a good guy and a friend, who recently showed up to a recent service.

The hitmakers released their joint effort “One Mic, One Gun” following a controversial social media moment that caused 21 to receive backlash. Weeks ago, a clip from a Clubhouse conversation emerged showing 21 speaking about Nas’ relevancy.

Juice WRLD’s cousin, Millz, slammed the late rapper’s girlfriend, Ally Lotti, on Instagram, Tuesday. He says that one of the last things he told Juice was not to trust her.
Lotti claimed that there was more to Juice’s death than fans know about, earlier this week. He passed away from a drug overdose back in December 2019. He was traveling on a private plane flying from Los Angeles to Chicago when he shallowed multiple Percocet pills.
“One of my last things I told juice while he was alive was to take care of his loved ones, his homies, his family and watch out for that ‘b*tch’!!” Millz wrote on the Instagram page labeled The Abyss Brand. “He got so mad at me for telling him the truth because I seen everyone’s true colors ! In an upcoming episode of Drink Champs, Rowdy Rebel shared who he thought he could beat in a one-on-one basketball game. Speaking confidently on the podcast, he said he’d win against fellow rappers Drake, Lil Durk, and Jim Jones.
Speaking on the Dipset rapper, Rowdy boasted in the episode teaser, “Jim is trash. I’ve seen Jim play ball.” Drink Champs host N.O.R.E. then asked if he’s betting on himself to win. “I’m betting on myself versus Drake and Durk,” Rowdy casually replied.
The New York rapper has often been spotted out on the court showing off his hooping skills. It’s no surprise that he’s confident in his game.

Subsequently, Vick is teaming up with SMAC Productions as well as FuboTV for an eight-part docuseries. This new project will focus on the rise and evolution of the black quarterback. Additionally, Vick will get to conduct numerous interviews with the likes of Tony Dungy, Patrick Mahomes, Cam Newton, and many others.
“I’m excited to be a part of this project because as a kid, I just wanted to have a shot at playing in the National Football League. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be the first African American quarterback drafted #1. I know that was a big step for us in society,” Vick said. “I was always told that I revolutionized the quarterback position, but I also like to give credit to the ones who I idolized as a kid and who paved the way like Randall Cunningham, Steve McNair and Donovan McNabb.
“When you look at the evolution of the Black quarterback, it’s because of the people that came before us. And now, I’m thankful for the dual threat concept that has changed the game for the better.”
