Stephen A. Smith Claims Nets Want Devin Booker In Potential KD Trade

Kevin Durant is demanding a trade out of Brooklyn following a week in which it was believed that Kyrie Irving was going to opt-out of his deal with the Nets. Irving has since opted in to his contract, but it still wasn’t enough to persuade KD to stay. His time in Brooklyn has been disappointing, and it seems as though he has come to terms with the fact that Irving is way too turbulent of a teammate to keep around.

Now, the Nets are looking for trade partners, and if KD had his choice, he would either go to the Miami Heat or the Phoenix Suns. The Suns seem like the most obvious choice for KD, who would get to play with an incredible point guard in Chris Paul. According to Stephen A. Smith, however, that will come at a hefty price.

Despite being on vacation, Smith halted his time off to speak on the potential trade scenarios involving KD. As Smith reports, the only way the Nets will trade KD to the Suns is if they can get Devin Booker in return. Unfortunately for the Nets, the Suns have all of the leverage here as KD is the one who requested the trade. The Suns are also coming off of a season in which they finished first in the NBA standings.

Of course, the Nets want the most for KD, which is understandable. He is a future top 10 player in the history of the NBA, and the Nets don’t want to feel like they got a bad deal.

This is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the NBA world.

Spin the block, let off shots, and let it rain for you

Lakers Preparing Kyrie Irving & Kevin Durant Trade Package

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will likely be traded by the Brooklyn Nets this summer. In fact, trades are probably coming a lot sooner than later. Originally, Kyrie was going to leave the Nets but then decided to opt into his deal. In the midst of this, there were rumors that KD would ask for a trade if Kyrie were to leave the Nets.

Well, despite opting in, KD decided to ask for a trade, anyway. With Durant on his way out of Brooklyn, it is now being reported that the franchise will trade Kyrie as well so that they can bring in a plethora of players who actually want to play for the franchise. It is a shocking development that has the whole league on notice.

One team that is looking deeply into this is the Los Angeles Lakers. According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the Lakers have a package that they are willing to offer Brooklyn in exchange for both Kyrie and KD. This package would likely include Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, although this seems too fantastical to actually happen.

The Lakers love getting on big news like this, so you can’t expect anything other than these kinds of rumors from them. While the odds of this happening are slim, it would definitely shake up the league.

Stay tuned to HNHH for more updates on this situation.

Ed Sheeran says his ‘Mathematics’ tour will land in the US eventually

Ed Sheeran has promised that his ‘Mathematics’ tour will land on US shores sometime in the near future.

The ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker is currently at the end of the UK leg of the tour in support of his latest album ‘=’, with two shows left at London’s Wembley Stadium tonight (June 30) and tomorrow (July 1), before heading out to Europe next week.

In an interview on the Late Late Show on Tuesday (June 28), Sheeran revealed that he’ll be touring the US – but probably not this year.

“I think we’re gonna announce by the end of the year,” Sheeran said about a potential North American tour. “We’re basically finalising a route now.”

“I’m super excited to bring this tour, it’s an insane-looking tour,” Sheeran continued. “We basically planned it from the end of the ‘÷’ tour, because it was sort of well-publicised that it was the most people had gone to this tour, so I was like if we come back, we have to do all bells and whistles. The stage is nuts… there are fireworks and flames, there’s a band, it’s a whole thing.”

The singer-songwriter also gave a hint at what US audiences can expect from the upcoming shows. “You go on tour, for my first album, I basically just played my first album live. And my second album was like little bits of both, and my third album was little bits of both, whereas this one the setlist is pretty much just songs people know,” Sheeran said.

Host James Corden then asked Sheeran – who was sat next to fellow guest, actor Vin Diesel – what three tracks will likely remain staples in his setlist for the rest of his career: ‘Perfect’, ‘Bad Habits’, and ‘Shape Of You’, he answered.

Meanwhile, Sheeran and two of his songwriting partners, Steven McCutcheon and Snow Patrol’s John McDaid, have been awarded £900,000 in legal costs following a High Court copyright win.

The three artists – who worked together on Sheeran’s 2017 single ‘Shape Of You’had been accused of lifting from a song, ‘Oh Why’, by musicians Sami Chokri (aka Sami Switch) and Ross O’Donoghue. The pair claimed Sheeran’s song featured “particular lines and phrases” similar to their own song, calling him “a magpie”.

Sheeran, McCutcheon and McDaid denied accusations of plagiarism, with the former saying in his testimony on March 7: “I have always tried to be completely fair in crediting anyone who makes any contribution to any song I write.” McDaid, in his testimony, called the idea of plagiarism “abhorrent”.

Barriers Worldwide Draws Inspiration From The North Star, A 19th Century Anti-Slavery Newspaper, For Converse Collaboration

Founded in 2015 and based in New York City, Barriers Worldwide is the vision of Steven Barter, a Valley Stream, New York-native who aims to educate through streetwear. Recently, the former-Visual Merchandiser at Nike unveiled his brand’s first-ever collaboration with Converse.

Drawing inspiration from The North Star, a 19th century publication focused on anti-slavery sentiment, Barter has reimagined the Chuck 70, Pro Leather and court-ready apparel in a way that makes Black history palpable to youth culture. The made-for-basketball designs have been reworked through the lens of lifestyle and culture, with a star motif linking the Boston-based institution to the centuries-old and long-defunct newspaper Barriers Worldwide has referenced. The revolutionary canvas-covered high-top of the capsule is given a premium makeover, with “Black” material setting the stage for a series of embroidered text, co-branding and other details like heritage-inspired laces. “Egret”-colored sole units and toe caps indulge in an “aged” aesthetic that draw comparisons to old physical newspaper copies. By contrast, the Pro Leather is covered in brown suede fabric, with “BARRIERS” branding landing at thew lateral profile and top of the tongue. Sherpa-covered star-chevron logos also appear at the sides, while cowry shell-like lace dubraes offer protection to the wearer.

Enjoy product shots of the collection here below, and find all products landing via Barriers Worldwide and Converse.com on Thursday, July 31st. Both the Barriers Chuck 70 and Pro Leather are priced at $110 USD.

The Nike Air Force 1 High Returns With “Sesame”-Colored Suede

Bruce Kilgore’s iconic Nike Air Force 1 High silhouette has been celebrating its 40th anniversary. While high-profile collaborations have been prepped for the event, the model has maintained relevance throughout the first six months of the year with handfuls of compelling general styles.

For the latest proposition in the expansive catalog of Kilgore’s famous creation, the Swoosh has outfitted the “presidential” pair with “White” smooth leather and “Sesame”-colored suede. As suggested by the non-traditional branding on the sneakers’ tongues, the ensemble is rooted in a collection honoring the design’s debut year (1982). Other experimental branding at the spine deliver a summer-friendly energy that’s sure to compel some footwear enthusiasts to add the high-top Air Force 1 to their rotations during the warmer season. Layered profile swooshes and canvas, red-orange-reminiscent ankle straps round out the arrangement, creating another refreshing outfit along the way.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before 2022 ends.
