Kim Petras is teasing more new music after sharing several clips of a new song – check it out below.

It comes after Petras shared new song ‘Coconuts’ last month and shared a teaser of a different track ‘Something About U’ in December.

Petras shared this latest new snippet last Friday (January 28), which was also linked to a new website about the single, which you can view here. The site lists pre-save options for the new song that has yet to be announced.

Then, over the weekend, Petras confirmed she was “about to drop” something new and then shared a further eight-second clip of the new track on social media yesterday (January 30).

‘Coconuts’ was Petras’ second new track of 2021, following the release of ‘Future Starts Now’ back in October.

Both songs will appear on her as-yet-untitled second album, which is due to land sometime in 2022. Petras confirmed in July that the upcoming record was “fully done”, and would feature “no sad songs”.

In a four-star review of Petras’ debut record ‘Clarity’, NME‘s Nick Levine called it a “hook-packed” and “complex album that’s boastful but never one-note,” adding that Petras “already sounds like a legit pop star”.

Petras revealed at 2020’s NME Awards that she wants to work with Robyn. “I would die. She’s the queen of the Earth,” the German singer-songwriter said, before adding how much she admires Courtney Love. “She’s an icon… a badass forever,” Petras said of the Hole musician.

This Nike LeBron 19 Features Sketches Of Past LeBron Signature Shoes

With nineteen signature shoes in, it’s only expected that Nike look back on two decades of the King on its footwear. This upcoming white/black/red colorway has been a mainstay in the Nike LeBron line all the way back to the Air Zoom Generation, and this continuing tradition hasn’t shied away from the limelight despite the King’s departure to the land of purple and gold. For this particular LeBron 19, Nike has applied a unique detail in the interior bootie that calls back to past designs by Jason Petrie, Ken Link, Eric Avar, Aaron Cooper, Tinker Hatfield, and all the other architects who have contributed to the King’s reign.

On the exterior is an all white mesh cage, with the Swoosh logo on the heel reversed as a nod to past designs. But beneath the exoskeleton is the inner bootie covered in a sketch mosaic that depicts nearly ever signature LeBron shoe of the past (we can easily make out the LeBron 2 and LeBron 3 at quick glance).

Full family sizes are expected to release on Nike.com and partnering retailers soon, so check out the official images of the adult pair below and stay tuned for updates. For more LeBron news, the LeBron 9 “Big Bang” is set to land in February.

Cheetah Print Makes The Nike Air Max Furyosa Even Crazier

The Air Max Furyosa is easily one of Nike’s craziest designs — effectively part-tank, part-sneaker. And with its latest colorway, which goes against the grain of what we’ve seen thus far, the silhouette is only getting bolder, incorporating cheetah print across its upper.

This would be the first time the shoe has featured any print at all, using the animal’s pelt for the panels across the tongue, toe, and heel. Black, then, dresses the suede and leather underneath, while grey mesh builds out the rest of the base. A pop of red also plays a part in the palette, laying across the collar as well as the reflective-accented pulltabs.

Enjoy a close-up look at this upcoming Air Max Furyosa below, and sit tight as we await further details and its Nike.com drop.

10 Cool New Pop Songs to Get You Through the Week: Rex Orange County, Coi Leray, Chelsea Cutler & More

Searching for some inspiration to help you take on another work week? We got you covered with this week’s 10 Cool New Pop Songs playlist, which features new tracks from artists like Rex Orange County, Tove Lo, Coi Leray and more.

Slide any of these gems into your personal playlist to get energized to take on the week — or scroll to the end of the post for a custom playlist of all 10.

Rex Orange County, “Keep It Up”

Rex Orange County’s forthcoming album Who Cares? is described in a press release as “a playful record by an artist in a playful mood”; it’s also a project created in close collaboration with his “Loving Is Easy” cohort Benny Sings. Indeed, lead single “Keep It Up” plays out like a tasty bit of happy-go-lucky pop-rock that’s more whimsical than nonchalant, and an encouraging sign for the next project from the gifted singer-songwriter. – Jason Lipshutz

Coi Leray, “Anxiety”

Coi Leray established herself in 2021 as a skilled, mainstream-ready rhyme spitter, but listeners paying close attention also recognized her knack for harvesting and polishing pop melodies. New track “Anxiety” places that talent in the foreground while Leray opens up about her struggles with stress and depression, pivoting from a hummable refrain to unshrinking bars about her personal ordeals. – J. Lipshutz

Renforshort, “Moshpit”

Lauren Isenberg, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter who performs as Renforshort, has previewed her next project with a hook that compares emotional warfare to the physical toll of moshing, and a lyric, “I’m not saying I’m a saint, but you’re hell,” among the young year’s most delicious. Enjoyable details aside, Renforshort delivers alt-rock power on “Moshpit,” a song that, coincidentally, should absolutely slay in concert. – J. Lipshutz

August Royals, “Kiss My Scars”

August Royals possesses a soft, soothing tone, the type of pillowy delivery that aims to calm even when discussing devastation. New single “Kiss My Scars” exists as a no-holds-barred commitment to the power of love, and Royals’ voice sells the message: the listener gets lost in the romance, whether he’s operating in relatively unadorned verses or synth-backed falsetto during the chorus. – J. Lipshutz

AJ Smith, “Grammy”

The 2022 Grammy Award broadcast was kicked down the road from its original Jan. 31 date thanks to the ongoing pandemic, but Colorado-born singer-songwriter AJ Smith is here with a different type of grammy homage to pick up some of the slack. “Grammy” — an amiable pop song in the vein of early Bruno Mars with horns, organ and whistlin’ aplenty — is a tribute to his number one fan, his grandmother, who “knows all the words” to his songs, “even the ones she thinks are trouble.” – Joe Lynch

HOAX, “Soju”

Plagued with questions about the meaning of life and the temporary nature of one’s surroundings, singer Mike Raj unravels these worries with paradoxical, upbeat instrumentation to push through the pain, showing that there is sometimes growth in discomfort and providing a thoughtful reminder to cherish your loved ones. – Starr Bowenbank

Bülow, “Don’t Break His Heart”

Alt-pop singer Bülow explores a more sparse, crunchier rock-inspired sound on “Don’t Break His Heart,” complete with engineered cymbal clashes and a warm riff that helps the singer’s vocal runs sit at the forefront of her latest. And while she weaves in and out of a slower, hushed tone, the layered, emphatic chorus adds a bite that helps separate this release from fellow whisper-pop hits. – Lyndsey Havens

Tove Lo, “How Long”

The creeping backbeat of Tove Lo’s latest quickly pulls listeners into the dark and enticing world of Euphoria, the show for which this original song was created. “How Long” allows Tove Lo to dip into her falsetto while questioning “how long” has something been going on, while twinkling electronic keys and pulsating synths fuse to create a universe of sound around her — becoming a welcome distraction for an answer that never comes. – L. Havens

Chelsea Cutler, “The Lifeboat’s Empty!”

As far as breakup songs go, Chelsea Cutler’s “The Lifeboat’s Empty” works as a love letter to those who tried their best. Against the backdrop of dreamy guitar riffs and melodic drumbeats, Cutler gets deep and reflective, using avoidable deaths on a sinking ship as a metaphor for a dying relationship. – Ammal Hassan

Lola Young, “So Sorry”

The 21-year-old East London native Lola Young tackles vulnerability and toxicity in her latest single, “So Sorry.” Though significantly more upbeat than her previous music, the soulful roots of her sound remain ever-present as she expresses remorse in the face of her own mistakes. – A. Hassan

Machine Gun Kelly Just Changed the Title of His Next Album — Even Though He Already Got It Tattooed

Oops. Machine Gun Kelly decided he’s bored of Born with Horns and switched up the name of his upcoming studio album on Monday (Jan. 31).

He broke the news to collaborator Travis Barker in a hilarious TikTok — but only after the pair got inked with the original name of the LP.

“OK, we’re friends no matter what, right? ” the rocker asked in the video, getting a reassuring fist bump from the drummer in return. “Remember when we got the new album name tattooed on our arms?”

“Mmhmm,” a skeptical Barker replied before what Kelly was about to say dawned on him, adding with a laugh, “You changed it! OK, what’s the new album name?”

At that point, the video conversation cuts to black, unveiling the studio effort’s new title as a melodic hard-rocking guitar anthem plays over top of the reveal: Mainstream Sellout.

No matter what it’s called, the upcoming album will serve as a follow-up to the rocker’s Barker-produced 2020 pop-punk album Tickets to My Downfall, which spawned the singles “Bloody Valentine,” “Concert for Aliens” and the Blackbear-assisted “My Ex’s Best Friend” as well as Halsey collab “Forget Me Too,” and topped the Billboard 200 albums chart.

While Kelly has yet to share a release date for the project, it will apparently be one of two albums he plans to release this year in the wake of his high-profile engagement to Megan Fox.

He and Barker have also collaborated recently with Iann Dior on the new single “Thought It Was” and will next appear on Avril Lavigne‘s Love Sux album cut “Bois Lie.”

Watch Kelly announce his new album title to Barker below:

Listen to Dashboard Confessional’s soaring new song, ‘Burning Heart’

Dashboard Confessional has released a new song, ‘Burning Heart’ – give it a listen below.

It’s the latest taken from their upcoming album, ‘All The Truth That I Can Tell’ – the band’s first LP since 2018’s ‘Crooked Shadows’. It’s set to arrive on February 25 via Hidden Note Records/AWAL.

Speaking about the new single, the group’s frontman Chris Carrabba said: In the song, there’s this sense of, ‘OK, here we go! Are you ready? Because it’s starting!’

“This was the first one I wrote for the new album and it’s the one outlier of the bunch. That night, I wrote a song that I was so certain of. Not that it was just good, but that it was powerful in some way, too.

“The conceit of this song reflects the fact that I’m holding in a lot. I have a lot to say to the person I love in this moment. The idea in this setting is that I’m here to fight for this.

“I wanted a song that took a look at a hard conversation with a sense of although things aren’t right now, they may be able to be set right if it’s needed badly enough, wanted badly enough. In this setting, the conceit of the song is between two people in a relationship – well, you only hear one side. That’s the bigger part of the conceit: what if you only heard the one side of the conversation?”

Listen to the new song here:

Speaking about the new album, Carrabba added: “Honesty was at the heart of the writing process, at the heart of the recording process, and at the heart of this collection of songs.

“I had the rare opportunity to be unflinchingly honest. But I think I would have thought in the early days that that would be commonplace. Now, I realise it’s some kind of cycle within your life and there’s great personal reward in accepting that.”

Last year, Carrabba sustained “severe injuries” in a motorcycle accident.

Sharing a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed, Carrabba told fans at the time: “My injuries were severe but not life-threatening.”

“I owe the amazing doctors, nurses and medical team treating me my endless gratitude. I am determined to make a full recovery, but I have surgeries and months of rehab to come.”
