Kanye West is hosting a Sunday Service Halloween livestream today

Kanye West has announced a special Halloween Sunday Service livestream, taking place later today (October 31).

READ MORE: Divorce, Drake disses and problematic features: 10 talking points from Kanye West’s ‘DONDA’

The rapper, who is now legally named Ye, posted the news to his Instagram earlier today. It will stream here on Triller and the Fite TV app, which are the same streaming platforms that host the VERZUZ rap battles, at 3pm ET (7pm GMT).

The last time Ye appeared with his Sunday Service choir, which first emerged in the run-up to the release of his ninth studio album ‘Jesus Is King‘ (2019), was in April for DMX’s memorial service.

West and his gospel group opened the service with an arrangement of Soul II Soul’s ‘Keep On Movin’ before singing the Clark Sisters’ ‘You Brought The Sunshine’, the hymn ‘Jesus Loves Me’ and their original song ‘Excellent’.

And he worked with the choir on his most recent album, ‘DONDA‘, which hears “gospel flourishing scattered across the record – most notably beautifully harmonising with The Weeknd on ‘Hurricane’”, as NME noted in a talking points article.

Meanwhile, West’s ‘DONDA’ stem player has finally been unveiled and it comes with three extra songs.

The device, which was made available to order back in August at $200 (£145), allows users to manipulate songs using the player by separating parts of the compositions and tweaking the sounds. Among the features is the ability to “control vocals, drums, bass, and samples” and “split any song into stems’.

Barker, who saw several costume changes during the show (one of which included depicting late Sex Pistols guitarist Sid Vicious) also welcomed Lavigne and Kelly to the stage as headliners. Lavigne performed ‘Sk8ter Boi’ and ‘Hey You’ – elsewhere, Barker played ‘imu’ with Blackbear with a Squid Game-style theme.

The drummer has worked with Kelly before, having released ‘Papercuts‘ with the singer-rapper in August.

‘House of Horrors’ was opened by newcomers Jasiah, jxdn and Iann Dior and featured interviews with acts conducted by Spotify‘s Head of Rock, Allison Hagendorf.

Barker’s show was produced by NoCap, which his collaborative business partner, Cisco Adler, co-founded. NoCap co-owns LA’s Roxy Theatre. “Cisco and I were talking and we had this idea to do a friends and family show,” Barker said of the event.

Tickets to watch House of Horrors have a starting price of $25. Head here to watch it.

According to Billboard, the show was filmed days earlier at a reimagined haunted house outside of Los Angeles with a guest list including Kourtney Kardashian, Gabrielle Sidibe, Siickbrain, Mod Sun, Phem, Royal and The Serpent and Theotis Beasley.

Meanwhile, Barker has teamed up with Grandson and Kesha for a new single ‘Drop Dead‘.

Harry Styles dresses up as ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ star Dorothy for ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ cover

Harry Styles dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz to perform the film’s classic song ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ during the US leg of his world tour.

The soloist and former One Direction singer donned a dress mimicking that of Dorothy’s in the 1939 film, complete with rosy red cheeks and a bow for his hair.

He performed the cover at Madison Square Garden in New York City last night (October 30) for the ‘Harryween Fancy Dress Party’, which was advertised as having guest appearances by Orville Peck and Madison Cunningham.

Meanwhile, in other Styles news, BTS’ Jungkook has shared a moving cover of his song ‘Falling’ from the singer’s 2019 album ‘Fine Line’.

Shared to the official BANGTANTV YouTube on Friday (October 29), Jungkook’s rendition stays true to the original with his vocals mirroring those of Styles.

It’s the latest of several popular covers that Jungkook has shared on both YouTube and SoundCloud over the years, including renditions of Charlie Puth‘s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’, Adam Levine‘s ‘Lost Stars’ and Justin Bieber‘s ‘Nothing Like Us’, ‘Purpose’ and ‘2U’.

Styles also paid tribute to Halsey at another Madison Square Garden show recently as part of his ‘Love On Tour’ while the singer was in attendance.

During a performance of the song ‘Kiwi’, Styles noticed Halsey in the audience and tweaked a lyric from the song in tribute to her. Instead of the usual lyric of “I’m having your baby”, Styles instead sang the line “You just had a baby” while pointing at them.

Morrissey shares two unheard demos on his website

Morrissey has shared two unheard demos on his official website – listen to ‘Once Upon A Woman’s Body’ and ‘If Saturday Ever Comes’ below.

READ MORE: Morrissey at Riot Fest review: pop’s problematic uncle wisely shuts up and plays the hits

Both tracks have been posted to Morrissey Central this week under the title of ‘lost demo’, with full lyrics shared for both songs.

On ‘Once Upon A Woman’s Body’, he sings: “Once upon a woman’s body, you went soft too soon and she said “that’s OK – I’ll find someone who… isn’t you””.

‘If Saturday Ever Comes’, meanwhile, sees him reflecting on death, singing: “There’s a passing bell tolling the knell and an urn awaiting your turn / there’s a boneyard stuffed to overflow rest assured!”

It’s not clear what era of Morrissey’s solo career the two new demos are taken from.

Listen to both songs, uploaded to YouTube by Morrissey’s nephew Sam Etsy Rayner, below:

Meanwhile, earlier this month Morrissey appeared to rank all of his solo and Smiths albums from best to worst on his website.

At the top of the list, which lists all of the singer’s 30 studio and live records, both solo and with the Manchester band, sits his 2014 solo LP ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’.

At Number Two is ‘Ringleader of the Tormentors’ from 2006, while in third is 2004’s ‘You Are The Quarry’.

The most highly ranked Smiths album in the list is 1984 compilation album ‘Louder Than Bombs’, with the band’s fourth and final studio album ‘Strangeways, Here We Come’ (1987) one place below.

Earlier this year, Morrissey shared details of a new studio album called ‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’, which he called “the best album of my life” upon its announcement.

Ed Sheeran is writing a song for season three of ‘Ted Lasso’

Ed Sheeran says he’s been asked to write a song for the upcoming third season of Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso.

READ MORE: ‘Ted Lasso’ season two review: proof that football can be a force for good

The singer was appearing remotely on The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV last night (October 30) to promote his new album ‘=’, a week after he announced that he’d tested positive for COVID, meaning that all his planned promotional appearances around the album’s release would happen from home.

Alongside Sheeran on the show’s panel of guests was Hannah Waddingham, who stars as Rebecca in Ted Lasso.

As such, talk soon turned to Sheeran’s love of the show, which stars Jason Sudeikis in the title role.

“I’m obsessed with it,” the singer said. “It’s one of these shows where I’m constantly recommending it to people and they’re watching it instantly. I just think it’s great.”

Revealing his plan to work on music for the next season, which is reportedly set to begin filming in January 2022 [via Collider], Sheeran added: “I got asked to do a song for the next season,” before Waddingham interrupted him, urging: “Do it! You’ve said it here – you have to now!”

“No, I am!” Sheeran responded. “You don’t have to convince me!”

Season two of Ted Lasso landed on Apple TV+ earlier this summer. Reviewing the show, NME wrote: “Ted Lasso is about more than just football: in season two we get to know the players better for their strength and their fearlessness, and we’re graced with empathetic, hopeful storylines that tell us that love does win. It’s about our world as it could be. As it should be.”

The show’s titular star Jason Sudeikis won two Emmys at the 2021 awards earlier this year – Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series – both for Ted Lasso.

Last week (October 23), Sudeikis joked about the success of the show during his appearance as host of Saturday Night Live.

During his monologue he discussed his past as a cast member on SNL for 10 years. “The last couple of years, though, I’ve been working on this Apple TV+ show called Ted Lasso,” he said. “Which somehow became a hit. It’s truly shocking to me because it’s built around two things Americans hate: soccer and kindness.”

Theme music for the show is written by Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons.

Ozzy Osbourne shares fears ahead of neck surgery after last procedure “fucked me up”

Ozzy Osbourne has shared his fears ahead of going under the knife for neck surgery for the second time.

READ MORE: Ozzy Osbourne: “This album saved my life”

After undergoing his first neck surgery in 2019, Ozzy said he “was in agony beyond anything I ever experienced before in my life”.

While recovering from a bout of pneumonia, the Black Sabbath man suffered a fall at his Los Angeles home in January of 2019 that caused him to “re-injure his back and neck and shoulders”, dislodging metal rods that had been put in his body, his wife Sharon Osbourne said at the time.

Speaking to host Billy Morrison on SiriusXM radio (via The Mirror) about the new upcoming procedure, Ozzy said: “I now have a date for when I have my surgery on my neck.”

He discussed how the last procedure on his neck “fucked me up” and went on to recall meeting his new surgeon.

“When I saw this guy he said, ‘The first guy didn’t do a very good job.’ He is not telling me that he can put me back to normal, which is no excuse.

“He says he can do this and that and do my neck. The way it is now I ain’t very encouraged. What if it gets worse?” Osbourne added.

Remembering his first surgery, Osbourne added: “The first guy said if you do not have this surgery, you have got a good chance of being crippled for the rest of your life.

“So, I came out of the surgery. Jack [Ozzy’s son] has got video of me before and after the surgery and this guy fucked me up.”

Discussing his feelings around the upcoming surgery, he added: “You know what, even top guys make mistakes. And I am a bit gun shy after the first one. I am just hoping and praying that I can at least do a fucking show.”

Elsewhere, a new biopic about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has been officially announced.

According to Variety, the as-yet-untitled film is being developed by Polygram Entertainment, a partner of Universal Music Group. Sharon is on production duties alongside the couple’s children Aimée and Jack (via their Osbourne Media label).

Part of his acceptance speech reads [via Rolling Stone]: “I’d like to thank all of the people who voted for LL to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame year after year. A lot people, when I told them when I told them I got inducted, they’d say to me, ‘Isn’t it is about time?’

“You see, what people don’t realise is, I wasn’t thinking about the people who voted against me. I was thinking about the people who voted for me. It was love. Like what I was feeling was, ‘Wow, here’s some people over there who won’t take no for an answer.’ They like, ‘Yo this guy got to be in here and we’re going to keep fighting for you till we get him in here.’ So I thank you. Other than that, Queens, of course, Harlem, uptown. Queens, I love you.

He concluded: “The last thing I’ll say is, rock and roll, hip-hop loves you. We borrow your beats. We sample ’em. We turn them into hits. And we know where we came from. We know where things come from….we love and appreciate you.”

J later wrote on Instagram that “this crew made my induction very special” alongside a photo of him posting with Eminem, Dre and J-Lo.

Elsewhere, Barack Obama and Dave Chapelle helped induct Jay-Z into the Hall while Taylor Swift paid tribute to Carole King with a live performance of the iconic singer-songwriter’s track ‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow?’

Paul McCartney also inducted the Foo Fighters and performed The Beatles’ ‘Get Back’ with the band.
