Skip Bayless is one of the biggest names in the entire sports world, at least as far as broadcasting is concerned. Despite his absurd hot takes, he is still a legend in the game, and fans can’t help but tune in every time he looks to talk about LeBron James or someone else that he isn’t particularly fond of.
For those who may not know, his wife Ernestine authored a book a couple of years ago about dating men who are obsessed with sports. Ernestine used her relationship with Skip as the blueprint for the book, and now, it appears as though it is going to be turned into a movie.

During an episode of his show, Skip spoke about the prospect of this movie and how he feels about it all. He was specifically asked about which actors he would want in the movie. While Skip realizes it probably isn’t viable, he notes that he would want Ernestine to be played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and he would want himself to be played by the legendary Kevin Costner.
Skip uses the term “pie in the sky” during this segment and he is certainly correct with that assessment. Regardless, you can’t help but admire his ambition to make his wife’s film as good as possible.

We’ve witnessed Yo Gotti get deeper into an executive role in recent times. The rapper released CM10 at the top of the year, a double disc effort that seemingly marked his transition towards propping up the CMG roster. However, he’s also expanded the label with new signings outside of Memphis, like Mozzy, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, and more.
This week, the rapper came through with a new posse cut from the CMG camp. During NBA on ESPN last night, Yo Gotti debuted CMG’s “Big League” ft. Moneybagg Yo, Mozzy and Lil Poppa. It’s a guttural banger produced by Murda Beatz that draws a parallel between the league and CMG’s presence in the rap game.

Meek Mill is using his platform on social media to call for the release of Young Thug, Meek Mill, and the rest of the 28 total members of YSL recently named in a massive indictment. Mill, whose long been an advocate for prison reform, posted about the case on Twitter, Wednesday morning.
“Free thug … free gunna … free ysl … everybody deserves a bail!” Mill wrote in his tweet.
The 56-count indictment was filed against the members of the record label, last month. Thug was initially charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and participation in criminal street gang activity; however, after a raid on his house, he was hit with several additional charges. Gunna has been charged with one count of conspiring to violate RICO.
Mill isn’t the only rapper to come out in support of YSL. Just earlier in the day, Cordae shared multiple tweets criticizing the prosection’s intended use of rap lyrics as evidence in the case.
“Free the Whole YSL Family! They showed me more genuine love than damn near anybody!” Cordae wrote in his first post.
He followed that up: “Protect Black Art! Also Using Lyrics against someone on trial is nuts! It’s a form of self expression that shouldn’t be used in a literal sense especially in a court of law!!!”
The indictment lists several songs by Young Thug and Gunna including YSL’s 2020 compilation album, Slime Language 2, which features “Take it to Trial,” “Ski,” and “Slatty.”

The Brooklyn drill artist enlists the Baton Rouge rapper for his latest single, “Menace.” The two fuse their respective styles together for a dizzying banger, laced with eerie piano keys and an infectious vocal sample that rings off throughout the record. Fross menacing flow tackles the production with ease as he reflects on his success and surviving the streets. Fredo Bang’s more melodic delivery perfectly complements Fross’ bars with equally vicious threats.

Steph Curry has had a historic career with the Golden State Warriors. He has won three NBA titles and this year, he is looking for his fourth as his Warriors look to take on the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, which start Thursday. His team is favored to win it all and there is no doubt he will only further his legacy if he wins that fourth championship.
One thing that always seems to make Knicks’ fans’ blood boil is the fact that Curry was actually supposed to be drafted by the New York Knicks. The team had told him they would take him but instead, they passed over him which allowed the Warriors to swoop in and take him. Needless to say, it was a huge mistake by the Knicks.Â
Today, Curry made it just a bit worse for Knicks fans as he fielded questions prior to the NBA Finals. While speaking on his time in Golden State, Curry reminded the world of how he was supposed to be playing in the Mecca of basketball.
“When I got drafted, I thought I was going to New York. I didn’t even have Golden State on my radar,” Curry said.
Knicks fans are going to want to rip their hair out when they see this clip. Their team has been terrible for the last two decades and this will not help make matters any better.
Klay Thompson is one of the best shooters of all time and it is only fitting that he plays in the same back court as someone like Steph Curry who is the definitive greatest shooter of all time. Over the last couple of seasons, Thompson has been out of the game due to the fact that he has struggled with ACL and Achilles injuries.Â
This season, Thompson was able to make his grand return to the court and he picked up right where he left off. Now, the Warriors are right back in the NBA Finals which just goes to show he is a large part of this team’s success.Â
Today, Thompson took part in media day as the NBA Finals start tomorrow night. At one point, Thompson was asked about his mindset going into this year’s finals, and how it has changed since years past. As you will see, Thompson is just a lot more grateful given the adversity he has been through.
“I think I’m definitely more reflective now, just because it can be taken away from you like that, one misstep or one bad jump … Now I just try to find joy in every routine I do,” Thompson said.
Now, Thompson could go down in history with his fourth NBA title. If he does it, then there is no doubt he and the rest of this Warriors dynasty will be remembered as one of the greatest ever.
She gained infamy by taking to social media and podcasts to detail her alleged hookups with rappers, but Celina Powell isn’t in the headlines over any of her stories. The controversial pop culture personality has been in trouble with the law over the years; we reported in 2018 that she was arrested by bounty hunters and just last year, she was once again taken into custody after police alleged that Powell was driving without a license.
Although details regarding her most recent infraction have yet to be shared in full, TMZ did offer information reportedly provided by “a rep for the 17th Judicial DA’s Office.”
They reported that it was Powell’s 2015 conviction that landed her in trouble this time around. The report states that seven years ago, Powell was convicted of “driving a getaway car in a theft ring.” The District Attorney reportedly told the outlet that in that case, Powell’s probation required her to comply with several stipulations, including drug and alcohol testing, which she missed.
On May 1, Powell was reportedly arrested and was recently convicted of violating probation, meaning that she was tacked with a two-year sentence in a Colorado State Prison. She will reportedly be eligible for parole in December.
Powell rose to fame with allegations of her sexual exploits, many of which were shot down by the rappers she claimed were involved. No one is quite sure when this escalating dispute between D.L. Hughley and Mo’Nique will end, but she and her husband Sidney Hicks have continued to press forward with their grievances. Days ago, Hughley and Mo’Nique were both booked to perform at a show in Detroit. According to Hughley, he never saw or spoke with Mo’Nique at the event, but he claimed she arrived late and attempted to have the show move forward with her performing last. Hughley claimed he was the headliner, per his contract with promoters, and he has fought hard for his place in the industry and refused to budge, as did the organizers.
This is what allegedly set off Mo’Nique before she took to the stage to bash him, his wife, Steve Harvey, and others. According to Mo’Nique, however, her contract stated that she was headlining and before anyone knew it, both parties were firing off copies of contracts, promotional materials, and scathing messages.
Hughley took to his radio show to question why Mo’Nique would attack him and his family—specifically saying that she “feels sorry for your wife having to perform a sexual act on a coward”—if she was upset with how things went down. After his video went viral yesterday, Mo’Nique and Hicks popped up in a clip of their own to further continue the dialogue.
“There was nothing that was said about your wife, your family. It was directed specifically to you,” said Hicks. Mo’Nique agreed before adding: “Saturday night, D.L. Hughley was going to get his ass handed to him because, through the years, I’ve heard this man have a lot to say about me.”
She said she wasn’t going to address those comments during an interview or some sit-down. “The night that I spoke about D.L. Hughley, I wanted D.L. Hughley to be there.” Mo’Nique claimed that she used this opportunity to bring up Steve Harvey because she said he and Hughley sat down together for a radio interview and “lied.”
Mo’Nique explained that it was her mission over the weekend to get back at Hughley for the negativity, and she disputed his claim that several audience members were disappointed with her display. Following the explosive altercation that recently went viral, Chrisean Rock hints at there being trouble in her relationship-situationship with Blueface. Rock has been a ride or die for the California rapper ever since they met during her feature on his OnlyFans reality series with several other women. She later became his artist but it was clear that their relationship smudged the personal-or-professional line. They appeared on social media displaying their affections, but she was also arrested after allegedly stealing his car and driving cross country.
Meanwhile, Rock and Blueface’s mother seemed to be getting along just fine, but this week, the world watched as a video of a physical altercation circulated. Rock confirmed that she fought Blueface’s mother and sister, but the two women would accuse the rapper of hitting them, as well.
The entire debacle has caused everyone involved to become talking points and face backlash, but a few tweets by Rock suggested that things weren’t happy at home with Blueface. Onsite grabbed screenshots where it seemed as if Rock was stating that Blue was with other women.

While details remain scarce at this time of this publication, expect to hear much more about this incident in the weeks to come. America has been overwhelmed with grief following two mass murders in recent weeks, causing a firestorm of political pressure for increased gun control measures. A white supremacist traveled 200 miles to Tops Market in a Black neighborhood of Buffalo, New York to specifically murder Black people, and during that confrontation, 10 lives were lost.
Last week, 19 students and two teachers were murdered at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, and during that shooting, the suspect was also killed. Today (June 1), the month begins with reports out of Tulsa, Oklahoma regarding a shooting at St. Francis Hospital.
Again, little is currently known as police have yet to detail what occurred, but it has been reported that a man armed with a rifle opened fire in the Natalie Building of the medical center. That building is reportedly used for sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. It is unclear if the shooter had particular victims in mind, but sadly, the suspect reportedly murdered four people during the altercation.
Police report that the suspect, too, was killed. We will keep you updated on this situation as the authorities share more information with the public.
Additionally, May 31 to June 1 marks the 101st anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre. It was in 1921 when a mob of white residents was given weapons by authorities before they murdered and attached Black citizens while burning down their homes and businesses. It has been labeled as one of the worst domestic terrorist attacks in the history of the U.S.
