Mary J. Blige Drops #TimesUp Anthem ‘Bounce Back 2.0′ [LISTEN]

Mary J. Blige is understood for making anthemic songs for ladies and “Bounce Again” provides to her discography of empowering songs.

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul launched the music on her 47th birthday (Jan. 11) and it’s clearly for the brave ladies of the Time’s Up motion. On the monitor, Mary delivers a message of empowerment to those that are preventing towards discrimination, sexism and harassment.

“Women, let me inform you one thing / We come too far to lose / We’ll win this battle / We endure onerous for love,” she sings, including, “Look what we’re manufactured from, lovely scars on us / This life is what we make it / Will not change a factor / Ain’t fear about it, no.”

MJB brings the message residence on the infectious refrain, which matches, “Life is absolutely, actually, actual, yeah / I am all the time prepared for the bounce again (prepared for the bounce again) / I ain’t stressin’, I am simply feeling what I am feelin’ / I’mma all the time be round, I do not doubt that.”

Mary had the perfect greatest birthday week ever. On Sunday (Jan. 7), she attended the Golden Globes Awards the place she was nominated for Greatest Supporting Actress for her work in Mudbound and Greatest Unique Track for “Mighty River.”

Then on her birthday, the R&B veteran was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “I am so grateful for this star proper now as a result of I’ve earned it in all probability 3 times,” Mary stated. “I say that with confidence and never vanity. I say it as a result of I do know that now, and I do know my value, and what this implies.”
